Why do we need to be utterly disrespectful to people? Surely we should be the bigger person and not be offensive to other teams.
Because the "team" in question is an affront and a threat to everything we value about football - as you will see in the article.
But that's only one view. If anyone wants to write "Why I greatly enjoyed the visit of MK Dons because I believe they are a model we should all follow" then we'll print it next issue. 400 words.
"Shrewsbury Town, the team who have stood tall amongst giants in League One this season, are making their presence felt again."

Whenever you are ready to be honest, PM me, 400 words. I reckon we'll have another issue out not too long away, with all this hotspot nonsense writing another issue for us.
I will include a brief intro regarding the fact your disagreed with my piece and this is an alternative viewpoint. That's exactly the kind of thing we would like to happen.

I would have been tempted myself but will leave this one to mortgagehound

"It was with great interest that I planned to read Mortgagehound's rebuttal of the fanzine before last's MK Dons article (which I also haven't read) in the last fanzine. Sadly, I'm sure he will have appeared to totally miss the point on this complex and somewhat emotive subject and I feel the need to establish three facts.
1. The model that Milton Keynes have adopted in acquiring a football league team set a dangerous precedent in modern football.
Whilst I realise that rules have been put in place by the football league to ensure this is unlikely to happen again, the recent Coventry City fiasco should serve as warning that such an issue could happen again - if Coventry City were to fail to return to the city after the period they've been allowed to ground-share, I'm sure that we could see an extension to stop them going out of business. Who's to stop a town without a league team (let's say Wolverhampton, it's a couple of years in the future remember) offering them the use of a dormant or little used ground?
After a few more years there, an application could be made by the team for a name change and we could lose another club with history. Would they have a merged Wolves/City list of honours (mostly City)? Would the long term fans of Coventry City be forced to suffer the Black Country just to see their team?
As such, if there are means that ensure that football fans are aware that what Milton Keynes did should never be repeated should be applauded, not admonished. How any fan of football could advocate showing even a modicum of respect to even a single supporter of said club shows a total lack of knowledge of the impact of history within the beautiful game. So I urge any fan out there reading this to disregard whatever was printed in the last issue.
2. For all the good an AFC Wimbledon has done, the fact they exist in the first place is such a shame. The borough of Merton had a team, the fact that another is in its place sadly suggests that history is transferable, that a club is its fans. It's not. A club should outlive its fans, not be something that can be re-created no matter how much hard work is put in.

Just to update, my one man boycott of the Bolton game ticket shambles , means that me or Dave wont be attending as such anyone that needs a copy needs to head to ebay, as that's the last of the stock. We sold out on the front gate at about 5 to which is the best for a while now.
Hope everyone liked the retro front cover to go with the day!
Next issue, we plan to be back soon and often this season.

Very disappointed that there were no copies on sale in the Power League Bar.
Any reason for this?
Yeah, as Scooter says. Maybe we should have checked in advance.
If people are in power leagues and there are none on sale then please pop out and grab them for us? That's be something you could do to really help us.

Cant believe some people are having a go about being "nasty" to that pathetic excuse of a football club.

somersetshot: Hello, Whilst I am an Aldershot fan, I have always had a soft spot for Shrewsbury and over the years there has been some epic games played between the two teams, not least the two 5th round FA cup games in 1979.Many players have also played for both clubs.
