Just been on the official Town site to read about ticket allocation/prices and read this...... "All other tickets are £20 in all areas with no concessions for juniors or seniors" Is it me or does this seem slightly unfair?

I understand that this is nothing to do with the club but just a bit peeved as if i bring the family members who come with me to 90% of town matches its gonna cost me £100 just for tickets.

Yes, I do agree with you and I am surprised that the Conference have done this. There is something on the Board about concessions in the family area but I don't know what this means - might be worth ringing the Club.

This is very annoying especially as money will be tight that weekend after paying £40 for a ticket at the Millenium stadium for the day before the play off final (now that is a lot!!!!)

Aye, £20 quid to listen to Ellie (age 6) saying,
"When's the game going to start?" "I'm hungry." "When's half-time?" "where are the toilets?" "Katie keeps pulling my hair." "I'm thirsty." "I'm hungry" "I want to go to the toilet again." "Can we have chips afer the game?" "I want to go home." "When's the game going to end?"
I don't think I have a cat in hell's chance of getting in the family area.

Sean i'm in the same predicament as you, however although the family stand does have a capacity of 2,500, do you feel thats not enough ? i would think thats plenty for our kind of following, although i disagree with the fact that i would have to pay full whack for the kids if i sit somewhere else by choice

Pilch. The concessions at Stoke City FC are all around the ground, yet the conference are saying that concessions are only permitted in the family stand. Do you believe they are right to do this? Im not complaining about the price for an adult ticket.

For both Town and Shots fans by all accounts.
So you agree with the price of £20 for a child?

Football is incredibly expensive, I'd dread to think how much money i've spent over the last few years following salop around the country. At the end of the day it's a final and it's always gonna be expensive. Think how expensive it is for the premiers**te fans who travel home and away to every game

There are Family Areas at both ends of the ground, so I assume that is 2500 for town fans.
My Dad is not too impressed at having to sit with a load of kids to get a concession, so he is paying £20, but I'm sure he'll have a moan soon

Stoke likely play their part, after all, we don't know how much they're charging the Conf for supplying the ground and facilities. What we really need to know is, what is the profit margin for the Conf in all this? They are denying children and oaps the right to choose their view of the game for a neglibile price increase. Yes, it may cost more depending on where you go at the Meadow, but it's always RELATIVELY less than the adult rate in each area. They're basically pushing families behind the goal, when they might prefer a centre-side view, which they may well have had all season on their tickets at t'Medder. The concept of family stands, I thought, was to make families feel more secure in, what was at the time of their conception, percieved as a dangerous environment mingled amongst testosterone and ale-fuelled thugs. The Conference, by this decision, are, willingly or not, saying "We don't want families to have a fair choice, or to mingle with the rest of the crowd". It's like Age Apartheid. Kick racism out of football, and let ageism creep in. Good job.

Well, it may be Stoke, but you have to consider their wage bill and associated costs compared to ours. They have higher prices as they have higher overheads. They have to fund their squad and staff out of their home games, as we do with the Meadow. AFAIK no-one has said "The squads will be paid directly from the proceeds of this game", so Stoke's own prices can't hold too much relevance, other than the base cost of running the stadium on a matchday, and some profit.
