From your rightful place in the football league Anybody who is nervous, or unsure whether you will do it, forget it. I say you will win, and thats good enough Remember this.....about 2 months before the end of last season I told you all that you were going down, even though you had games in hand against bottom teams. It did seem unlikely, but I "just knew". The season before, I told Barnet the same, to hoots of derision. Theres always one team that drops like a stone. This season of course, we all knew with 10 games left that York were doomed, even though they had games in hand and more points than the bottom 2. Well, I knew anyway. Thats 3 out of 3. Why are you bringing this up on here, you big headed b******, I hear you ask?........well, for those of you that can remember, I predicted straight after your relegation that I was certain that you would come straight back up. The above points show that when I make predictions that I am never, ever wrong. So there you go, you will win the Final, no doubt about it. I look forward to seeing you all again next season ;D Anybody know the Shrews commentator that reported on your semi final match? Well, apparantly, he said that Lincoln were the only team ever to go down and come straight back up. He was wrong, can one of you inform him that there are 3 teams, Lincoln, Darlington, and..............SHREWSBURY!!

Yes, I was wrong on Aiston, but then again that wasn't a prediction of what was going to happen, but a statement of all fact from a source.......who was wrong.

Aren't these predictions suppose to 'jinx' the other team?
Mind you, I was probably the only who thought York could still get sucked in when they were still in the top half of the table with something like 40 points in 30 games.

No, you weren't the only one. I thought they were poor enough.
And no this prediction isn't intended to jinx Shrews, I'm just showing off.

They just tried to copy both us and your lot Simon, but achieved it in a much more finer style

It's interesting to compare the run-in that got the teams dramatically relegated, our was more extended and more painful, yours was the shortest and ultimately the biggest shock, especially with those games in hand you had.
Barnet - 28 games, 18 points after the 7-0 thrashing of eventually promoted Blackpool - a run that included 15 consecutive away defeats.
Shrews - 15 games, 4 points, no wins.
York - 19 games, 4 points, no wins.
No price for guessing which is the most spectacular slide of the three.
If York had started the season like they'd finished, people would be saying that they'd do a Doncaster (the one that got 20 points in 1997/98!).

Aren't Darlo the last team to return to the league first time round?
