This taken from Confguide....
It's been confirmed that a Shrewsbury fan has been arrested by police following the alleged assault on a Barnet player following the Bee's penalty shoot out defeat at the Gay Meadow. The player understood to have been striker Ben Strevens was reportedly hit on the back of the head by his assailant who was quickly over powered by stewards during the mass pitch invasion at the final whistle.
Anyone see this?

Nope, but it's disappointing. That's the kind of thing we definitely don't need to happen, as the Club will cop a lot of grief over it.

That was the same player that ran to the wakeman terrace after scoring his peno, gesturing and provoking. think the fact they lost was porbably enough punishment for him being cocky though, perhaps giving him The Bird to even things up, but a clip round the ear is out of order, even if he did deserve it ;D

That was the same player that ran to the wakeman terrace after scoring his peno, gesturing and provoking. The Wakeman were giving it to this guy big time and he naturally gave a little back when he scored, don't we call it banter?

Throw the book at him. As long as they throw it at the back of his head, an eye for an eye....

The person is going to get a big banning order, if proven guilty (cheers Vodka Vic).

The person is going to get a big banning order and you have to say they deserve it if proven guilty of course....

What happened behind the Barnet seats that the plod had to stop? Some of the local undesirables were in the seats behind the Barnet fans. Looks like they kept their noses clean though.

What happened behind the Barnet seats that the plod had to stop? Very little. Because of the ticketing situation on the terracing a few of our more vocal fans were in that area. I was a bit worried about it but things calmed down.

Just like to point out that when you scored in the first leg, darby came up to us after you scored and provoked us. Oh well just banter but I am angry about the incident. Cheers to the majority of you who were sympathetic towards us.

unfortunately that is always the risk we take, that is why the announcer said please wait for the players and officials to leave the pitch, not that many people took any notice of it mind you!

Life ban the only answer, though I saw a few in the Nags who were going who I'd never seen before, only there for the trouble as far as I could tell. Seemed to support a team that played in Burberry

Last week in the 1st playoff leg Barnet fans gave DD loads, and 4 weeks before that they also gave him loads only due to the fact that he made Henden look an .

If you look at the TV replay, when Strevens scored his pen he smiled at the crowd, blew them a kiss, and then gave them a clap and a thumbs up. all in a perfectly friendly way, hardly inciting.
A Barnet fan was arrested at our place for going on the pitch (the only one who actually did) he is facing a big band. It's the least that the tw@t at your place deserves.
Good luck at Stoke, you deserved the win against us.

I think i saw the lad in question getting stopped by a steward, with Stephens shouting at him, and he wasn't from the Burberry-brigade like you might expect, I can;t remember his name but he used to sit with Ant & Phil in the family stand!
