Hmmmm...
I'm not entirely sure why so many of you thik that we will come to sit on our 1 goal lead on Monday (you will have to forgive me if I have a smile on my face when I write that, nooffence). Any team seeking to take a 1 goal lead in to the second leg of a two legged tie away from home is asking to be unceremoniously dumped out, we have enough experience in the management and coaching staff not to mke that mistake.
Well Thursday was a game of two halves wasn't it? Gore has been a star in goal this season (does any one els see the remarkable resemblance to Mark Bosnich?) and kept us in it. A lot of that first half though canbe ut down to nerves. I don't think we dominated the second the way you dominated the first but certainly think we edged it. What it will hve done though is give us some confidence for Monday.
You may hve noticed our no.14 (Ishmail Yakabu). He is a very good player and only 18 and has had Chelsea, Man City and West Ham sniffing around him. Trouble is that he is a confidence player and on Tursday he was clearly nervous and was pretty anonymous. If he gets his tale up for Monday then I honestly think (and hope) thathe could ake all he difference
For Monday can nay one recomend any pubs that are particularly away fan friendly? Is there one in particular like the Red lion in Barnet? Any its best to avoid?
Despite reports of a bit of hand bags here and there I found you lot very friendly on Thursday and were generally a credit to the club
Finally the match report from your localpaper was put on our web site. Just a tad OTT don't you think? Although that said I wish our local press could be as partisan as that, it might do our gate sthe wold of good.
The future's bright
The future's amber
