Havent seen everything written yet, however first off I'd like to say,
Bloomin unlucky last night. Brilliant first hald, tore them appart, Aiston hit the post, Tolley had a couple from 20 yards, then they go and score.... We come back, miss a far post header, Darby misses from 5 yards (keeper brilliant save, but he shouldnt have had the opportunity to save) Luke smashes in the penalty.
All in all the first half was simply awsome, the midfield hassled and chassed everything, which really unsettled Barnet, Aiston was revelling. Downsides we knew this energy output couldnt last especially playing up the hill. Tinno looked injured from the first 5minutes.
Second half, the workrate wasnt quite what it was in the first half (not surprising) and we did struggle against the slope. Barnet had most of the play, but only really created from the Sciott Howie punch, and the goal they scored. Appart from that and a couple of headers that was about it from Barnet. Guy Lopez was on one man mission to con the ref into booking any Town player whom came near him. Moss was lucky not to be sent off. He kicked their player in the b******s after a 50/50 challenge, realised what he had done and promtly went back down as if he'd been run over.
All in all, yes the result was dissapointing, however the players cant be faulted for their effort last night. Howie was unlucky with the peno, Ridds put him in the position, and as soon as Tinno was off for Sedge, the defense just seemed to lose that organisation and brick wall stanse. No disrespect to Sedge, but he didnt win one header last night!!!
Keep the faith chaps, we were always going to have to grind out a win at Gay Meadow, and thatis what we will have to do, reguardless of last nights results. We went down (temporarilly), but we went down fighting....
