if you had offered it to me in a quiet moment before the game
Gutted about the result just now, the way we let them back in was very sloppy, but, and I say but, we showed that we had plenty to worry them
We should have taken our chances and been 3-1 up at half time, but nevermind, footie doesn't work like that, being a fan of STFC doesn't happen like that
2-0 does us, all we need now is a couple of fit defenders and we are in with a massive chance

Its going to be another 'Carlisle LDV' scenario next Monday no doubt about it, so lets hope we can break down the ten man defence this time.

I personally felt it was very important not to lose tonight but sensed that as usual we were going to concede a goal at the end To my mind the odds now favour Barnet ...but not by much ...Come on you Blues!

I wouldn't. Any lead is vital, and we will struggle to break them down

They were rubbish! with a fully fit squad we'd hammer them at the Meadow but if Tinson and Challis don't pull through it's going to be close. It's vital we score early on.

we have to come out fighting from the start - if we concede a goal early on it will be very difficult, if not impossible to come back. Lets all pray for Challis & Tinson to recover.

Not surprised that we lost 2-1. Having said that what did surprise me and please me was the effort and team like performance that was put in. We played like a team not 11 individuals.
All we need now is for Tinson to regain fitness.

well, the news that tinno and Challice will be ok obviously is a boost.
We have to score early on, because if we dont, this will happen:
Barnet will be timewasting and playing for the corner flag after 20 minutes.
Every time the ball goes into the station end, it will take ten minutes to get it returned.
Crowd will get frustrated
Players will get frustrated.
Tolley will chin someone.
Tolley will get sent off.
Ref will be called all sorts of names.
After an hour, all of the Barnet players will fall to the ground as if theyve been shot every time a town player goes near them.
Barnet Physio will win man of the match award, as he will be the busiest man on the park.
we will lose.
I will have to spend all next season going to the same sh!t grounds that I have this season.
I really really dont want this to happen.
So we HAVE to score early.

if they come with a defensive team and we score in the first half then i fancy us to go on and win it.
the carlisle comparsion can be made but i think the need to win helped us in the great escape season whilst chester and carlisle maybe went out playing knowing that a draw or less could have been good enough.

The team we have now wouldn't have conceded as many goals against carlisle, but I don't see it scoring more. Can see us going ahead on the night and then NBArnet leveling it and going through. Either that or penalties.

If we make Barnet look like a pub team as we did first half on thursday night then i see no reason that we can't do them over the 90.
If we'd have drawn 1-1 with them on thursday night we still would have had to have won the second leg.
Barnet will come and play like they did against us earlier in the season, I expect a fully defensive roll from them with one man up front, we need to get at them straight from the off.
Unfortunately football isn't fair (that's what makes it so great) - we shouldn't be going into the second leg behind but Barnet have shown us that they only needed two attempts on goal to score two goals.
