I haven't had much of a problem with Spam mail - or Viruses (unlike my wife, who received on average in excess of 100 spam messages every day ). However, over the last few days, I've had a few messages (none of which I've opened up ) from unknown addresses. I'm posting them here, to see if anyone else has received mail from any of the following, or recognizes the addresses as vius infected mail. philhouseman@hotmail.com admin@chiltern.gov.uk webmaster@mobileshop.com phil_ashman@yahoo.co.uk austria@msdirectservices.com E-commerce Mail Administrator (Failed delivery) which is not the normal way I get notifies of failed messages. Some, but not all have come with attachments. Any advice or info. would be welcome (Welsh Shrew is not available to give his expert opinion!)

All I would say is delete them all
They are randomly generated fake email addresses, i occasionally get ones from ppl on here who i have never had correspondance with....
They are hoaxes and its best to ignore them

Agree with Ian, delete them all! However, I'm having cronic problems today with a bug that's managed to beat my firewall, anti-virus, spybot adaware and CW shredder! For those who don't understand the above it basically means i'm ****ed

Theres this thing that read your temp internet files or the temp internet files of the computer the thats bombarding your with the email virus's - it checks these files recoreds every single one of the email adresses in them and fires a email of to you for every one it reads.
My problem is a B and A user has this problem and must use the net one hell of a lot becuase i have been getting them from almost every B and A user for a month now 90-100 a week -
I think it best to delete anything you dont recognise any more
on the subject outside of the work place the use of emails is becoming pointless the ease of them has gone and the problems assosiated with these virus ones are now getting to epademic levels - im going to go back to using the Royal Mail - oh wait thats crap as well - anyone got a carrier Pidgion (i know its sp wrong but i cannot spet that word nor does word!!)

Be very wary of any "failed delivery" emails, this is the latest trick to get you to open infected messges!

Sorry, daughter - with your ongoing school inspection, I thought that you'd have more important things to think about Thanks, everyone - advice taken, and all emails from unknown senders have been and will be deleted.
