dear lord i am a humble bloke who wants a day out soon in Stoke to see my team ,the mighty Shrews play shots or bulls, and watch THEM lose but first we have a double task of which some help from you i`ll ask to do your best and help us please see off a swarm of pesky bees who stand between us and a day of pride and joy -britannia way a draw on thursday would be fine but different in one weeks time at our shrine down Wyle cop a bit down from the private shop there`ll be a huge almighty roar of seven thousand fans and more and when we play the ball about we scream,we roar,we curse,we shout and i will ask of you -most holy to stop that naughty Grazioli and every time he tries to shoot the ridler takes it off his boot and every time he gets the ball his knees will knock ,and he will fall and Tinno sends the ball out wide to super Sam,who cuts inside and passes on to Luke who flies past Fatmile (who ate All the pies) and Luke so sure,so true, alive despatches past the keepers dive a roar goes up -a wonderous cry a sea of hands reach for the sky and soon enough again he`s through and rounds the keeper-number two after the break, more of the same the bees will buzz, but it`s our game and soon the bees no longer hum as Ryan Lowe scores off his bum and finally the whistle blows victorious-we beat our foes! we thank you lord for their defeat we`re on a roll,we won`t be beat the final now is in your hands but help us loyal, faithful fans through sweat and toil and fatigue help us back to the football league and now the bees no longer buzz goodnight, god bless and thank you-CUZZ.

I like - And soon the bees no longer hum, As Ryan Lowe scores off his bum - But the "Grazioli" rhyme is brilliant!! I see we have another potential scriptwriter for a B&A revue sometime in the future!

Superb You should post that into the Shropshire Star if not already done so. They'd print it in a second.

Quality Agree about sending it to the Star do it. Also email it to Judy or Whitters - I'm sure that the team would love to hear it on the way down to Barne - assuming they're all travelling together I can just hear the late Cyril Fletcher reading it out as one of his odes. Top class post.

Agreed 100%- Have you e-mailed it to Judy and Whitters, yet? And the Shropshire Star? If not, please do so immediately if not sooner! Think what a buzz this will give the lads- it may just inject their game with that extra spark that will carry them through to the Final! Don't keep it just for yourself and us! It's truly inspired- and was clearly sent to you, so your words can motivate the lads. It's got all the right ingredients- very funny, but a true "Hymn of Battle!!" Send it- now- if you haven't already. (And if you haven't- then one of us are going to have to do it for you, aren't we? ) (You will, won't you Ant? If he's not sent it?!!)

Has anyone done anything to make sure the team sees the poem?
E-mailed it to Judy or Whitters anyone? Shroppy star, even?
If no-one else does- I'd do it- but I don't know your real name, Cuzz- some people on this board obviously do!
