Now, I'm as sympathetic as anyone to Telford's current plight. But did anyone else find their last two results absolutely hilarious... I just hope they can survive so we can watch them take a few more hammerings next year

I was at the Farnbrough game yesterday, and with one or two exceptions the players looked well and truly shattered. If they can keep the core of their side (Whitehead, Ricketts, Stanley) they will do well next year. If not, there are going to be major problems...

If they keep the core of their squad, they are going to be in even bigger problems Pete.
Just not the cash there to do it.

I seriously can not see how they will do well next year with serious reductions on players wages and lacking a full time squad.
This year TUFC have splashed a serious amount of cash around and look what they've done in the league, I fail to see how their plight will improve in the conference next season

Supposedly...Michael Blackwood was overheard in Joshuas after the game saying things should be clearer by Tuesday.
I actually have a feeling they are going to pull through it somehow, dont know why...the togetherness of the fans and players at the end yesterday was phenomenal.

When the chips are down, you'll always get fans and a club coming together - look at STFC for an example of that (obviously not the same scenario) but after being relegated to the conference the fans have come back even stronger than ever

Aye I know, my theory isnt really based on anything at all...just a feeling!
I get the impression the board may have made more progress than they are letting on about...if things were really as grim as has been made out I cant imagine they would be keeping up the fight as they are doing now.
I'm sure we will all know for sure soon enough, and best of luck to them.

I'm also confident we will still be in the Conference next season dunno why i'm so confident though. One things for sure our wage bill will certainly be nowhere near as much as 22k per week it is this year?I couldn't believe it when i heard this figure. Who knows what sort of team we will have next season but as long as we still have a team that is all that matters. The only good thing out of all this is the way everyone has rallied around and the atmosphere in the last few games has been excellent, i've seen people their who haven't been for years. The question is how many will still be there if we have a struggling side next year?

Very few probably Bally.
This year has shown that the maximum regular crowd you'll get at Telford (unless you're chasing the play offs) will be 1200-1400.
Struggle and that'll go down.
It's why you need to have a budget based on those figures.
As I said, I hope you survive and hope you get stuffed every week next season.

I notice you didn't mention the Farnborough drubbing.
In retrospect, I should have substituted the word 'humiliation' for 'drubbing', but hey it's done now....

Lee, but check out the trend as the season went on mate.
13 March 2004. 1,337 for your home game with Halfiax.
That's realistically what you'll get next year.
Other crowds made up by combination of early season excitement (LOL!), vouchers for games, and coming out to support a crisis.
