I suppose it shows how desperate town fans are to celebrate some success.
For me personally there was no celebrating as we have not achieved anything yet, and i stayed on the terrace. Call me a sourpuss if you like but there is nothing to celebrate unless we go up.

Agreed, but it does show the lads that we are 100% behind them.

Last match of the season and over the wall seems to have become a tradition and a way of celebrating yesterday that 1000+ Town fans were together to support their team and see them through to victory at the Brittania

I stood with ant and the hamerhill 'blues brothers' shrews on the terrace as everyone ran on the pitch, we agreed that we had nothing really to celebrate.
However after seeing everyone enjoying themselves we made our way onto the playing surface and the atmosphere was great. It was just nice to have a real good time after an exciting game of football where we had no worries about making the playoffs or not.

It wasnt about celebrating any real sucess. It was about enjoying ourselves in the the lovely late afternoon sun, after an enjoyable game. It was about rounding off the main part of the season, before we all get serious again. I was surprised at the amount of people singing "we're going to Stoke City" talk about tempting fate

Let em sing it! How many of us sing 'and it's Shrewsbury Town FC, by far the greatest team the World has ever seen' etc. - doesn't mean it's true

Agree that it was nothing to do with celebrating, just everyone went on because end of season tradition and simply because we could (had it been at the Meadow Im sure there would have been a line of West Mercia's finest).
It was all very friendly though and Roland seemed happy enough. Jim Bentley even said to me he hopes we go up which might not help with his popularity with Telford fans ;D
I was singing the "we're going to Stoke City" and did think we're tempting fate but then people have been singing "the town are going up" from the beginning of the season

I was sitting in the stands. I thought you all showed you commitment and passion to the cause - the chant of Loyal Supporters was superb and it was great to see you all go to the Morcambe supporters and hear you all sing. Surely, this is what football is - complete bias for 90 minutes and then friendship afterwards and possibly before. I think you were all a great credit to the Club. Well done. And if you are all being optimistic - good for you after last year pessimism.
