Must have forced himself close to the starting team for Thursday night, with his involvement for all 3 goals. Also worked very hard all game.
At present I'd say the following are definites for Barnet
Howie
Challis Moss Ridler Tinson
Aiston
Darby Rodgers
As for the remaining 3 midfield places, I would go with Street, Edwards and maybe O'Connor, based on that giving us a little bit more defensively.

Why do we need a little more in defence???.......
As far as I'm concerned thats been half our problem been too defencive and showing cr@p teams far too much respect. What are all our forwards for??
No if I were in charge this defencive minded mid-field attitude would be the first thing to go.I'm old enough to remember days gone by and our performances this season come straight out of the Chic Bates football manual..............no,its an attacking mid-field for me and let all theses forwards of ours play deep in the opposition half instead of having to come back so deep all the time to get the ball,or having to rely on long speculative hoofs from the halfway line.

Agree with shrewforever on this attacking midfield would be a better option. I would have Aiston, Tolley,O'conner (or street) and Lowey in midfield.

5 man midfield?
So three at the back.
Its not about being defensive. I would just feel that a midfield of Aiston, Street, Edwards and O'Connor (my favoured 4 to start) is plenty capable of creating things, but also has a little bit more defensively than if Lowe was in there for someone.
No doubt that Street and Edwards are the 2 on-form midfielders at present.

No origianlly i put Aiston, lowe, tolley,o conner (or sreet) and lowey
I forgot i'd already put Lowe in so i see where you got the five from now.
I persoannly don't think Edwards should play, so wouldn't of had him in the team.

OK.
But still think Edwards has been superb recently whereas it ain't happening for Jamie at the moment.

I feel Tolley offers more going forward and is also more likely to grab a goal. I would like them both playing together in the middle of the park as it has worked well in recent games, but if Jimmy choses to play one of them with O Conner i would rather it be Tolley.

Tolley has offered nothing going forward recently, infact he hasnt offered anything of any use Street is the inform player, I've seen the light, he is pure class when played in the middle. He covers a lot of ground has a good first touch, can play the keep it simple as well as attacking balls. He's brill. Keep the 4-4-2 Rodgers and Darby upfront Aiston and Lowe on the wings, Street and O'Connor in the middle Challis , Tinno,Riddler and Moss at the back. Lawrence,Banim,Tolley,Hart,Sedge on the bench

Street is playing well. I'm not convinced O'Connor is fit. Based on this I'd probably start Street in the center alongside Tolley or Edwards. Edwards was excellent when he came on yesterday but Tolley does appear to be coming back into some sort of form.
Lowe has had two excellent games, and he'd be in my starting lineup for Thursday.
Howie
Moss Ridler Tinson Challis
Lowe Tolley Street Aiston
Darby Rodgers

I like the sound of Ant's team but I think we may see O'Connor play with Street out wide and Lowe on the bench.

poor ryan....
he does definitely bring soemthing to the team, it would be very sad and in my opinion very silly to not offer him a new contract.

He has made the most assists for our goals this season hasn't he? And this with not lpaying to many games. He is a good player for us and i can't believe we are leaving it so late to fofer a contract.

Did O'conner look fit yesterday? I would love to know, of the games he's started, how many he has played the full 90 minutes - espically since the turn of the year. There cannot be that many.

Martin must play, preferably with Tolley. Edwards is too much of a risk, and can withdraw a little on the big occasion.

Did O'conner look fit yesterday? O Connor is too old now, he is too slow even when he is fit, i'm sad to say.

I thought both O'Connor and Tolley limped off yesterday.
We must play the people in form and that means Street in centre mid with Ryan wide right and Sam on the left.

Sorry guys but as well as lowe has played last 3-4 games - its too little too late for him. Quinn will not play him up front and simpley he is not consistant over a season enough on the wing The only situation i would keep him are if both Cramb and Luke leave (quite likely) then he might finally get in ahead of fatty banim( ) and the Quinster. Remember he was one of the players who was having stinkers in most of the away games that helped to cause us to have to be in the playoffs rather than challangeing for the leage title!!!! That said hes the sort of player who will come back to haunt us
