Nice to see you all at the seaside today. It was a brilliant atmosphere created by both sets of supporters, and the way both sets of fans came together at the end was a credit to all. we had the same last season in the play offs when the daggers came to 'Fort Christie' and something you would never see in the football league. One of the reasons i can cope with staying in the conference. Good luck in the play offs and, if things don't go your way, we'll welcome you back next season with open arms

I was at the front of the clapping and shaking hands of the Morecambe fans and I have to say you were all a credit not only to your club, but too all of football..... I was so proud being able to walk along the stand clapping and getting handshakes and good luck messages from all ages Thanks Morecambe

Cheers pal - although this type of thing does happen in the football league also (Exeter and Scunny away and Brighton at home spring to mind....).
What was funny was that the Morecame fans had just started singing 'You're staying down with the Morecambe' when the Salop fans wandered over to applaud them, the chant quickly stopped.......
All the best for next year. Get yourselves a solid defensive spine and the football you play should be good enough to get you top 4/5 (I've seen you 4 times this year!)

It was a great scene at the end, thats what football should be about, Morecambe have been a friendly bunch of all the times weve met them this season, the fans in the pub today were great and also leaving the ground in numbers fans mixed superbly

When I looked at ther author of this thread, I thought that I had found out the reason for all the nuns being around today - then I realised that it was "seaside convert" and not "seaside convent"

Could have been worse, I read one of the other threads as "Pilch Invasion". I thought he had been busy cloning himself in secret to take over the world!
