pinched from Hford somewhere: Ten Conference referees have been promoted to higher leagues. It is beleived that fourteen applied for inclusion on the Football League Referees list for next season. Interviews took place last Monday and the list was released yesterday. The following have been promoted: Jarnail Singh - Middlesex Fred Graham - Essex Keith Stroud - Dorest Russell Booth - Nottingham Paul Melin - Surrey Andy Woolmer - Northampton Gary Lewis - Cambridge Clive Oliver - Northumberland Mick Russell - Hertfordshire Darren Drysdale - Lincolnshire The four who have not been promoted: Bob Desmond - Gloucestershire Dave Foster - Newcastle Bob Pollock - Liverpool Dean Whitestone - Northampton Cant rememeber which ones we've had because they have all been terrible - look out football league, but even more-so the conf if 10 of the clowns got promoted!

Pollock is the one that sticks in my mind from this season. I think we've had him three times at the Meadow and every time i've come away talking about the ref and not the match.

I've rated Singh (When you're reffin') on the occasion's I've seen him! Can agree with you for once sim, he's often only reffed London and southern sides but is not to bad. However Pollock like you say jamo seen him plenty home and away if he thinks he's going further he must be in the head nothing better than a bottom sunday league ref

Woolmer is the worst of the lot that I can remember, where is the Prof when you need him? but I'm pretty sure it was Woolmer that sent Aiston and the Woking bloke off.........just dreadful.

"Pollock" is similar to Pillock and Bollock, it's not just a coincidence y'no!

No rob lewis on the list? I don't know what he's like as a ref though. But as a linesman he was poor on Sunday in the Villa match.
