lets hope that someone has come up with about £10 million to re-develop the existing Gm and is willing to put another million in every year,so we: 1.don't have to move 2.don't have to rely on sport being played on plastic pitches to keep STFC afloat.

Rather, we can rely on a millionaire's money. A sure fire way to financial stability duncow!

Is £30 an hour to hire a pitch gonna be any different? you're still relying on people to use the facilities. With all these "sports villages" being bandied about, there's only so many times and teams.

So relying on a planned income by use of leisure facilities, club bars, restaurants etc. is the same on relying on someone with sacks of cash to step forward with money for re-development, probably in the form of bank loans, and probably secured against the ground.
LMFAO!

This so called "planned" income can, like any plan, go Tits-up. Not only then, do you have to concern yourself with the upkeep of a football stadium, you have the added problem of the upkeep of the associated facilities . Food for thought?

Of course there is food for thought. The New Meadow move has to be done just right - there will only be one shot at it.
But you really have no alternative do you? And much as we will all miss the Meadow (actually, some of our younger fan base won't and that's worth thinking about), it is vital that as supporters we ensure that this move is done correctly rather than continue to dream about millionaires.........

the community pitches are not meant as a massive money making thing, they are just aprt of a complex planning application that fulfills strict criteria

If what you say is correct TBH, perhaps Welshrew can enlighten us as to what form(s) the planned income is going to take.

I'm not the guy to give you full details on all this but I'd have thought a restaurant, bar and conference facilities that can be used every day of the week (for wedding receptions etc.) would provide the extra income.
Also, sponsorship opportunities would incread multi-fold.

the only reason i said that was because int he original applicationt he sports pitches were going to be run by the council, they were not a money making venture for STFC
all the other benefits of a new ground increase revenue for the club through the week
