Can i wish all my fellow country men a happy St Georges day, enjoy the sunshine and drink a toast to our patron saint. As a mark of respect can all those people who were unfortunate enough to be born on the wrong side of the ditch please be kind to us today and refrain from indulging in their usual xenophobic claptrap. COME ON ENGLAND

Happy St Georges day all.
I now await for the news stories that people have been told to take down their English flags because other people find it offensive...

I shall be digging my England top out later, and I might even have a drink to celebrate. I agree with Ant though, England does not seem to be able to celebrate being English without some people having a whinge.

Yes if you find a flag offensive, shin up the drainpipe and burn it down - don't go complaining to the administration.....

Bit disappointed with the spider jp- is it that you have moved onto legs now To tell the truth Paul, the avatar I wanted to put up was a bit risky and wanted to change it early and then give this baby a defrag, so I came up with anything.

It's my birthday today too.
400 years younger than William Shakespeare - to the day.
Drove over to the border and took a short walk to Mitchell's Fold and on Corndon Hill and then went to the Three Tuns, Bishops Castle, for lunch and drank some stuff that makes Guinness look like a cordial.
Raided Yarborough House for some decent classical music - on vinyl - and am now listening to William Walton's War Requim - which is based upon Wilfred Owen's war poetry.
Glorious weather today.
To be honest I'm as interested in St George as I am in Jesus Christ. We should praise and remember people who trod the soil that we now tread. There's enough worthy examples. I've mentioned one in this post.

Yes Morecambe tomorrow with Ellie and one of her friends - a lad from just up the road who is less of a handful than the girls she plays with, thankfully.
We bought her a kid-size broom today and her response was, "Couldn't you have bought an electric one that flies a bit."
Hello?

Too right.
