Reading through the Shrews v Everton programme from last season (as you do) I checked out the squad lists on the back and at number 29 was Alex Mortimer...anyone remember anything about him? Was he a Malessa/Southall/Brynglesson like signing who joined then never played?
Also, who was the keeper who played away at Colwyn Bay at the start of last season? Think he was only on trial, but his first involvement was to concede a penalty. Jamie Tolley rescued us with an awesome last gasp equaliser...and that Colwyn trip was also the birthplace of the legendary MAAS.
Ah nostalgia...

Mortimer was a young left back we had on trial, and a short term contract (from Leicester I believe).
In short he was cr@p although his one and only performance did come in a 2-1 victory at Carlisle if I remember correctly. He got booked that day too.
The goalkeeper who was on trial vs Colwyn was from Wrexham I think, can't remember his name though.
