What i will say though, with regards to the 'troubles' against Oxford, Torquay etc, all very well talking about what happens in the control room, and how its supporters responsibility to behave appropriately, but the reality is that a lot of people who are watching these videos aren't actually the problem (some might be), but the ones causing the problems don't care about things like this.
Its specifically mentioned how supporters running across the front of the west stand to abuse the away end can cause problems - but if this is the case and it can be seen from the control room then why can the people who do this not be identified and warned via the cctv??
i still don't understand the clubs issues with the green gate. it just isn't something at all that they can get their heads around. 'its only 10 minutes extra'. yep a completely pointless 10 minutes extra but only for one part of the stadium
apparently people can't swap stands at the end because its to avoid congestion - but the closed green gate means the very wide area to leave the stadium isn't used so instead large amounts of fans go down a very very narrow exit instead. interesting conflict.
Oh and completely disagree with quite a lot of the comments on here abusing Whits - some of the users on here are total clowns.

Yeah, defo. I watched the whole film and found it interesting, good that the club are happy to answer such questions and put them out there for us to review. Plenty of things stuck out for me and that was one. To point out that it’s the supporters responsibility to behave correctly really does miss the mark by some distance. Everyone is aware of this and the vast majority do behave responsibly. The question was concerning those that are aware of this and don’t. It was as though he was reaching out and talking to each and every Town fan when the question was clearly only referring to the small minority who cause problems. So very strange answer to give, didn’t come across very well on that one at all. As for the green gate. Those in the control room must have reason. You suspect that if there is any chance (no matter how small a chance, no matter how small the element in the away end who may cause issues) then the gate will be closed to restrict the possibility of confrontation between supporters. I was lost on the swapping stands, how would that help? You’re just going around in the same direction as you would walking the exterior of the stadium aren’t you? And Whits is right, there are some clowns on here. But nevertheless, you don’t go saying that in your official capacity at the club, in an official club interview posted on the official club website. You reckon you’d get away at your place of work?

Commenting only on the "clowns" remark - seems like another outbreak of fan hypersensitivity to me. Whatever you do, don't attempt to be humorous with or about the sacred fans (who can, of course, say anything they like).
Sorry, but it seems a bit precious to take offence at that.

Cant view the vid currently but I do agree that there probably is a bit of an over-reaction. However at the same time, if any sort of business called a percentage of their customers (and after all, that is what we are now isnt it) clowns in any sort of context then it would be seen as an own goal, especially if it was something which was being broadcast to those customers. I know that there are people at the club who work very hard and are dedicated, genuine people. However I agree with a few posters that there still seems to be some reluctance from the club to fully engage with the fans and instead there is a them and us attitutde. At the risk of starting another debate on the merits of the chairman, I do believe that stems from him.

Blimey that was a bit of reaction but at least it got a few more people to watch this set of Q&A's.
As I said in the interview sorry, and especially sorry to anyone who might think that they are a clown and have been upset by this.
The interesting thing is the reaction about the website, I'll start a thread about just the website to try and get this feedback.
The problem with the q&a is that people will get an answer to their question, it's just that a lot of the time it isn't the answer that they want to hear.

Danny... I changed your question a little from what was originally asked to give it some context. Sorry if thats offended/annoyed you mate...Have not seen what the club version was but I suspect it was the same as I sent... Not the club at all changeing anything. Whits reads the questions as I have sent. Dont worry about it, i understand why it was done it just feels a little annoying that someone kind of putting words into my mouth, if you get my drift. Anyway, its the fact the way my question was answered that annoyed me not the fact it was re-worded. Firstly i dont understand why its so hard to fix a leak which effects customers, but more importantly the fact that they blamed me for losing the email, when infact i had already had an apology for not getting a reply! It felt like they were saying one thing to keep me happy, then saying another to make themselves look good on camera, but i suppose thats how things work.

Perhaps it shows the questions are not scripted and that was their off the cuff response. Not saying it's right or wrong as they have missed the facts (as you have presented them) which is the disappointing thing in this instance.

Was i dreaming it or did it say on the video about our fans self policeing? If that was about the fan from block 18 running on the pitch (oxford game i think),throwing punches at town fans already on the pitch. Does the club condone this

Does the club condone this I thought it appeared to condone it in some sort of way, to be honest at the time (the Oxford game) I did think that big guy in the pink polo shirt was funny whilst trying to punch his fellow supporters off the pitch, but I'd hate to think the club would be endorsing supporters taking the law into their own hands in the event of a pitch invasion.

Some people take things a little too seriously.
How about Ian Whitfield comes on here and tells people they should be sacked? It's no different, we have no idea what he's doing every day - just as we have no idea what everyone else on here is doing.
Chill out.
