Brilliant, performance, so proud.
Few outlets have mentioned that this was a much changed arsenal team, but lets face it our first choice centre backs and captains were both unavailable and so was a first choice striker. And considering we've only got a squad of about 20 as it is - include Luke Male who hasn't played a minute of senior football - and have now played 4 games in 10 days, that's an achievement!
We played a young lad who's always played right back for us at centre back for the whole game, and a young 18 year old centre back making one of his first starts played the whole match out of position at right back.
Were we outclassed? No. We managed to score, hit the post and have another effort just wide too.
And on the subject of best chants, my favourites were: "3-1 up, you still don't sing" "What's it like to win to win a game"
And it 88 minutes for the first loud chant in support of Wenger!

Wasn't there, but sounded brilliant. Extremely envious of those of you who went! Get a job. Improving your likeability yet again good Dr Still drowning kittens in your spare time or are you onto more sinister activities now

So proud to have been there. Awesome night and some lovely passing from Town in the first half. The moment we scored will live long in the memory.

A very enjoyable night
Ive heard/seen comments from various fans of other clubs suggesting it was a weakened side we were playing against in a worthless cup, a touch of jealousy me thinks
We were playing in one of the best stadiums in the country, backed by 5,000 noisey fans, playing against a number of internationals and players who have played regularly in the premiership. For one half we were excellent, the lead and could have stretched that a bit further with a bit of luck. And we did it by playing attractive, attacking pacey football. In the end quality and fatigue caused by amount of games and a stretched squad shone through, but we certainly did not disgrace ourselves.
I went into the game expecting a defeat and just wanted it to be respectful and also didnt want them to score early and the game to be over quite early on. We certainly exceeded my expectations

Really enjoyed it, Arsenal have managed to reatain much of their history despite their new stadium and their fans weren't as quiet as I was led to believe they would be (we still outsung them though) No doubt I'll remember Collins' goal for years to come but I was disappointed we started playing hoof ball once we went behind.

Superb night. Will always remember the evening, the build up, the fans and the goal. Proud to be a Salopian. Team effort.

Really enjoyed the night.......... amazing stadium, great atmosphere. I hoped we would not get hammered and that we would score a goal so job done............... but I still feel disappointed. For several minutes we were ahead and on top against one of the top clubs in the land and were probably on the verge of something very special in our history.

I had posted on here beforehand that I wanted us to give a good account of ourselves, have a go and enjoy ourselves.
On that count I can have no complaints.
We weren't crippled with nerves and after weathering an early Arsenal storm played some great football to take a deserved lead. We could well have scored another goal or two before half time if our final ball and finishing had been just that little bit better.
After Collins powered us ahead, you couldn't help but dream of a massive shock, but it was always likely Arsenal's quality would prevail eventually.
They controlled the second half for the most part, but we still had the odd sniff, notably when Collins nearly got free.
Even at 3-1, a Town goal would certainly have set Gunners nerves jangling, but sadly nothing quite dropped for the foraging Tom Bradshaw.
Ultimately though, South Stand Shrews has called it right:
Proud of the team, proud of the fans, proud of the club.
A great night for everyone connected with STFC.
Only downside: we could be physically, mentally and emotionally drained for Saturday.

I doubt I will ever forget the moment when Collins scored, I have never celebrated a goal more in my life! For about 10 minutes, most people around me couldn't actually get their head around the fact that we were beating Arsenal! I think it was a day to remember for everyone. The Emirates is a wonderful stadium, with the biggest seats I have ever seen at a stadium I don't think we were ever going to keep up with Arsenal's fitness levels and it would have been an extremely nervy end to the game if we were still winning! Proud.

Just back from two days of "meetings" in London. Great night last night on so many levels.
First 10 minutes I thought we were going to get whacked. But after that we were top draw. A few moments for me:
The rousing response from our fans every time they scored. Wiped away any disappointment. The celebrations of the Arsenal fans - the ultimate compliment to us. That Brazil-esque passing it around at the back (10+ passes) before setting Lionel off on a run Seeing the blue and amber on the big stage.
I'd love to get a photo of an airborn Collins about to head the ball in the net.
