Windsors prediction of 1,200 is looking a tad low now, excellent effort, was thinking 4,000 tops but who knows, well done salop fans

Great support, would've thought we'd easily exceed the 2,000 mark judging by that. Yet to get mine.

Tremendous effort by the Salop faithful, didn't expect anywhere near 2,000.

Fantastic effort by everyone - we've sold about as many tickets in one day as the total attendance at Edgar Street recently!!
I think if we keep getting results between now and the 20th, we'll be taking up to 4000 to the Emirates - including expat Shrews & fans from other lower league teams.
COYB!!

Just like Wembley always is. But i agree the more the merrier, but this kind of fixture will get all sorts of 'fans' coming, as it captures the imagination.

According to Ticket Office Manager Sean Evans on Facebook! according to here he is a supervisor www.shrewsburytown.com/page/WhosWho/0,,10443,00.html or has he had a promotion, that page does look to be a few months out of date, the revolving door has spun a few times since that list was devised

You don't have to be a part timer to want to watch the match rather than someone's back.

If you compare your match attendance record to everyone else then we're all part timers to someone. Get off your high horse and recognise that not everyone has the money, time or desire to go to every STFC game - but that doesn't stop them being a supporter. Looking forward to seeing as many Salop fans there as possible! COYB!

If I was forced to make a choice of travelling down south between Arsenal and Southend (also this month), I would choose the latter every time, as that is when maximum support is most crucial.

I agree, if I had to choose between the 2, I would give the Arsenal game a miss, which is likely to be a nailed on defeat and go to Vale instead which is more important.
As it is I am fortunate in that the cost is not an issue so will go to both.

Think we'll take more but why is it a 'disgrace' if fans opted for fine dining for a tenner or bread and butter for twenty? We don't get many chances to go to top PL grounds - why not favour that over Port Vale if you're short of cash?

Town games against Premier League teams are more rare than a Hereford victory these days. I do not see a problem with so called 'part timers' going to the match. As an exile I wish I could pop down the Meadow every other Saturday afternoon. Why should everyone go to all games anyway? My 2 tickets are purchased and I am taking a friend from Brighton who is a Spurs fan - he has never seen STFC before and probably will not again. So what?

The Arsenal game will also be more attractive to families - both due to the cost of tickets and it's likely to be a much more pleasant atmosphere
Sadly the Vale game will probably attract the idiots from Shrewsbury and Vale. Getting 3 points at Vale is more important than a cup jolly but to be honest having been to Vale once I have no great wish to return there

Party of 8 booked today - 3 regulars and 5 part timers!

Just booked 8 myself - Me and my wife who's an Aussie who doesn't understand football, then a Spurs, Wolves, Coventry, p/t Shrews and a couple of 'England' supporters. All down in London anyway - a 10 min bus ride from my work.
There are at least 5 'hardcore' Gooners who sit near me at work, one of whom is a season ticket holder, and sad to say that none of them are interested in going to the game!
