I've just heard about Hereford- they've got Chris Mckenzie till the end of the season. It was on radio Shropshire this dinner time. That means he could be in the team facing us. Hmmm! What do you think, lads and lasses? He's a bit too good in my estimation. (Mind you, I've only seen him once- when i went to Telford that time.)

He's a good player! Is this true though? I thought the transfer deadline had passed? Or does this not affect the conference?

Apparently, it's a sort of "special dispensation" and can only apply to goalies.(That sounds fishy to me!!) Hereford have had "injury problems", they said.
The story may well be in the Shroppy Star tonight?

We got special dispensation as there are allowances for goalies and our reserve keeper's broken his finger. Chris "the Cat" MacKenzie was a fans favourite when he was with us first time around. He even scored from open play!!!

Sounds like Mick Jones getting Quinny back for the Challis issue!

Excellent keeper but I doubt he will play unless Baker gets injured as he has had a very good season Wonder why they didnt choose Bavo ;D

Sounds like Mick Jones getting Quinny back for the Challis issue! or the fact we cant afford to keep him and he gets a 100% wage at hereford! cant see how he will be number 2 though. if he is he is being wasted - easily one of the best keepers in the conference hope to one day see him back

I don't see a problem, we put 3 past him in the SSC , scored past him in the home fa trophy game , and away league game , also his kicking was abismal, all this at a time when we were going through our really low crappy point of our season.

Telford's Conference survival next year will depend on the manager's ability to put together a part time team of sufficient quality to avoid the drop.

shroppy senior cup the defense were playing together for the first time (some trialists) and none of the goals were really his fault. played well in all other games against you and so what he conceded goals, doesnt mean he was to blame for them
does this mean howie is crap as we scored against him at yours and 3 times in 2 games at ours?
maccas kicking is suspect at times but is a good shot stopper and excellent at taking crosses

Is this just untill the end ofthe season then? Or is it a permanent move?

Is this just untill the end ofthe season then? Or is it a permanent move? I guess the real question we should ask is Why do we care? If he doesn't make the Hereford team during the playoffs it doesn't affect Us in any way. Oh, and Lee, I have your lads down to win against Northwich, they'd better not contribute to my financial downfall as well!

Hereford have got a true Telford legend there. Best keeper I've ever seen in Conference football.

this thread also isnt about chris mackenzie in the 5 games against you this season Wrong this thread is about Chris Mackenzie & him jioning Hereford, and as he is to be with Hereford for the remainder of the season then it will be of relevence as it might incur him facing us for a 6th time, hence my earlier points re: why should we be concerened, when weve scored past him in previous meetings and his kicking is poor.

Dont see the problem. I believe that Baker is a better goalkeeper. I've seen McKenzie a few times and havent reqally been impressed with him. baker on the other hand by all accounts has had a stonking season or two
