At times this season we've suffered from an embaressment of riches in attack. JQ at various points throughout the campaign hasn't stuck with a strikeforce, and this could be to do with how many sub strikers we've had.
So what's the optimum number of strikers for us to have? And if Cramb does leave in the summer who would you like him to be replaced by?

I'd be amazed if Cramb was still here and very surprised if Rodgers is either. So that leaves us with Darby and Banim plus whoever JQ brings in.A lot will depend on what division we are in.

I can't imagine McNiven staying at Leigh, so he may be a possibility.

Been rumours about him for a while but is he a bit too tubby? Will he be like Banim and take half a season to lose the weight and not do much in the meantime? If we went up i would hope that we could bring in a fitter striker than that.

I can't imagine Cramb won't leave after last night's debacle and Rogers will probably go too. Will hopefully give Lowe more chance of getting a new contract and will hopefully also then give him more opportiunities as an out and out striker.
Add him to Darby and an in-form Banim and I reckon we could be nearly there.

I agree SE shrew- if you include Lowe and Quinn, we have got 6 central strikers on the books who have scored a lot of goals at different levels- if Cramb leaves and Quinn hangs up his boots, we would still have enough cover IMO- I would not bring anyone else in

Next season I expect there to be the following
If in 3rd – Luke, Lowe and Darby, Banim and possible 1 other (McNivan)
If in Conf – Darby, Banim and McNivan and (1 other – Murphy or somebody)
Crambs gone and has been for some time and Luke has done enough for us lets let the kid have a carrer in stead of ruining it by making him play in this league any more…. Darby and Banim will be here know matter what.
Mcnivans been talked about a hell of a lot and I could see quinn gambling on him like he did Banim. Could we Tempt Murphs back when it goes tits up down the road??

I believe that Morientes is unhappy at Monaco so i would go for him, along with Mutu who looks to be leaving Stamford Bridge. That'll do the trick.

Having disagreed with Pricey on t'other thread, time for me to balance thins up.
It's time for Lukey to be let go - hopefully we can get 150K-200K for him.
It's been a joy to watch him for the last 4 years and last night he was really our only attacking option at times. The guy is a genius.
Shame that he was getting so much stick a few games back.

It would be a nice way to leave with a playoff winning goal and he might just be worth a bit more as well!!! He has been a joy to watch as you say and coming back to form at the right time - i belive Quinn called last night his best game this season

I think Cramb and Rodgers will be off during the summer.
I have a feeling McNiven will be bought in if we are still in the Conference. I am not worried about his fitness. He's scored 20 odd goals playing part time for a relegated team this season. Imagine what he could be doing if he went full time.
