As usual- I set off for Liverpool a little on the late side! (On this site, of course! ) Decided against my usual route- because they're building a new asda - and it's chaos. Went the "long way round"- along the M57 towards Liverpool Airport. Saw a flash from a spped camera on a bridge- glanced at the speedo- I was doing 80. Mr Wiggy does 80 and more all the time, going to Scotland - he's never been nabbed! I daren't tell him! He'll be furious- I'll be grounded miss the play-offs!!! But I'll get a letter, won't I? He's bound to find out. What's the fine? Will I get 3 points on my licence? My colleague, Mo, thinks it's hilarious- she didn't think I was the type to do speeding! My boss says nothing might happen- she's been "caught" by flashing speed cameras many times, she says. I hope she's right!!

80 MPH on a motorway..... hmmmm they'll throw the book at you.
If the camera was operational, and it showed you were doing 80, then you'll probably get a £60 fine and 3 points...
but they sometimes flash, and nothing happens.
My advice, say nothing to Mr Wiggy, see if a fine comes, should be after the play offs anyway, and if one doesn't appear, you'll be ok!

Or say you couldn't possibly have been doing 80 miles per hour. You'd only been out for 20 minutes!

JUST SEND THE LETTER BACK WITHOUT A NAME OR SIGNATURE BUT FILL THE REST OF IT IN.BY LAW THEY CAN'T RE ISSUE THE SPEEDING TICKET THEREFORE YOU WILL GET AWAY WITH IT IT'S A GREAT LOOP-HOLE IN THE LAW

Skinner, thats an urban myth. My boss tried that, and ended up having to attend court (instead of guilty by post) They provided the photographic evidence, and he got a £180 fine and 3 points. I got fined £60 for going through the same camera at a greater speed than he did, 30 minutes before he did. I pleaded guilty by post and got the standard £60 and 3 points.
