what gravesend did tonight was disgusting! fifa should introduce a new rule that after every game they watch a video of it and if any player dives, goes down like a sack of spuds, or acts like he's been shot then he should get a 3 match ban. this is the only way to stop the cheating ****ers! they really do make me sick!

totally agree with you evo, also watching the chelsea game, makele should be banned and the geezer who got sent off have his ban revoked. cant belive he only got a yellow for doing the same as the monaco player, shows no matter where you are in the world you will always get a "muppet" referee

Want some biscuits to go with your whine?? Always the same. Get over it. We drew, we were lucky. Gravesend played better than we did by far. The ref did need sacking though what gravesend did tonight was disgusting! fifa should introduce a new rule that after every game they watch a video of it and if any player dives, goes down like a sack of spuds, or acts like he's been shot then he should get a 3 match ban. this is the only way to stop the cheating f**kers! they really do make me sick!

In all seriousness I don't like cheating but I never thought we cheated. Obviously a biased view, but i though that we are quite an honest side with sides who have been in the conference longer being able to con the refs, and doing it. You where by far one of the best sides I have seen at stonebrigde road proved by a good 3-0 win over us. Good luck for the play-offs, they are always a lottery but I think you have a good chance

Gravesend arn't the only team to do it.
Most of our recent opponents are looking to do it at every opportunity, mind you Darby does tend to go down quite a lot as well.

Cheats !! Does n't sound like our style. Anyway from all the teams that I have seen this year ( Which is all of them ) your 3 nil win at Stonebridge Road was the most impressive. Good luck in the play offs

swings and roundabouts.
Most of our first team either go down easily or commit dubious tackles or do both.

C.Cramb is another of the worst divers in the league along with our own C.Moore

I wasnt at the game, so can't comment on sidibe, except to say that his pace and footwork beats players all the time and lures many a last minute tackle. Whether it was a bad tackle or not, it is a skill to draw a foul from the other team (as it is in basketball), a skill that he has in abundance. Maybe he made the most of it, i dont know, but 'diving' is not something we associate with this player, or our team.
Good luck in the play-offs, i reckon you'll do it.
Cheers

The single worst action of the game was carried out by Darren Moss.
Tolley and Aiston also put in some fantastically rotten challenges!

Replays would always be a benefit so wouldn't like to comment whether it were a bad tackle or dive from where i was standing. Although i did barrack the ref for it ;D That aside, can't help noticing what jolly nice people the Gravesend fans are with regard to their replys on here

Have to say that a few of the B&N players did dissapoint me last night.
There were occasions when Moss (late tackle from number 23 minutes before 'that' tackle), Hart, Rodgers and Tolley were all clattered but got up straight away. In similar instances the Northfleet players did stay down for longer and I do think this can affect the referee's judgement.
That said I'm certainly not defending Darren Moss' challenge.

Totally agree Evo16, I've been saying the same thing for a long time. I reckon a 5 game ban would really hurt and def make players think twice about it.
In rugby players get clattered 10 times harder and just get up and on with it.
Moss's challenge last night was poor, but the lad he caught was evidently dying then seconds later he proved he was feigning it by going on a waltzing run.

You would have to apply those rules to a number of Town players as well. It is something that has always been there, but is becoming much more common, and players are getting better at it.
I don't know the answer, but it annoys me when our players do it, and then we moan about the other team. Even Luke has started doing it, and he used to stay on his feet whenever possible.
Is it coaching, the influence of other players or tv ?

One thing that annoyed me yesterday was the inconsistency of the Ref. Towards the end of the game, Rodgers was hacked down with a fairly bad challenge from behind that in my opinion was a definite yellow card. However Rodgers pretty much got straight back up, the player who hacked him down offered him a hand, they then shook hands and the Ref gave nothing. Now surely if it was a yellow card offence then it's yellow regardless of whether or not the players "kiss and make up" afterwards Earlier in the game it seemed like the opposite was happening, where challenges were going in and because they player going down looked like he was dying a slow and painful death, the ref was reaching straight for his pocket. Consistency please!!!! (ps. Aiston's challenge second half looked shocking from where I was, but I do wonder, if that was only a yellow, was Mossy's so different? they were both pretty bad...)

;)I was at the match last night, and I have to say your side are my favourites to win the playoffs, fast attack and strong defence. As to some of the tackles I must admit to wincing a bit at some of them, but I thought the Ref was awful,The tackle where your lad got sent off was 50/50 and did not deserve a red card, but our team did not make the decision to send him off. Andy then was subject to a torrent of abuse for the rest of the game. I thought that a bit unfair but I understand that is the nature of the game. Anyway good luck in the playoffs, I am sure you will win through.
