I realise I gave a misleading impression in my b&a programme article, describing myself as a "new-age oldie!" It was just a play on words, meaning that this is like the dawning of a new age for me- being able to go to a few games, having fun, meeting some of you lovely lot!!! I am NOT into "New Age"!!! I hopw no-one thought that I was into Feng Shui and Crystals and did a (reputed) Cherie Blair, sitting under pyramids and things!! (It's against my beliefs ) My youngest daughter is a bit influenced by Feng Shui. Our house would be a Feng Shui person's nightmare!! You are not supposed to have uncovered bookcases, apparently- because the spines of books are like knives- and bring misfortune!! How daft is that? Well- we've got loads of books - and I need them for work! If I chucked any out, I'd most likely find that one of my pupils was studying that book for SATs or GCSE. And Mr Wiggy keeps sending for books from Reader's Digest thinking he's going to win a £25,000 in the draw!!
