I like the 99-01 home shirt myself. I think I only went to 3 games during the Jake King years so haven't got a clue what we used to play in.

I want one, won one in the family enclosure raffle in '92 but was delayed getting to the office after the game when i got there they had given the shirt to the second prize winner as they didnt think I was going to claim my prize. I got a blue and yellow football instead

1992/3 was when shirt design reached a nadir, in the Midlands especially.
Who can forget the WBA barcode (Newcastle had a similar strip in black and white), the skidmarks all over Wolves once proud old gold, and various kids paintbrush marks on Walsall's and The Smurfs' (Birmingham) kit.
In contrast, Villa had a quite nifty retro kit with a lacy collar by Umbro which sadly was replaced by a horrible Asics stripe thing for 1993/4 when kits suddenly went right again (our championship winning kit was a classic!).
Other naff kits nationally in the season that The Shamen and 2Unlimited reached #1 were Manchester United (Umbro got this retro shirt wrong!), Forest's re-introducing the 80s pinstripe, and various horrific effects with shadow stripes in the lower divisions (an Influence zig-zag effect on the shirts of Portsmouth, Stockport and Cambridge springs to mind).
My all time fave STFC kit is the blue shirt with gold sleeves as worn between 1983-85, as seen on Gary Hackett's goal on the Match of the Day credits. Quite class, and a bonus point to anyone who remembers what 'Link 51' did.

Quite class, and a bonus point to anyone who remembers what 'Link 51' did. didn't link 51 have something to do with racking/shelving for factories?

I always thought it was lockers for sports centres. At least that's what the advert in the programme suggested.

Now there is a first You feeling ok today Cynical? Link 51 are still around but they had a couple of issues a few years ago which ment they sold off some divisions.
