I heard that match report too Pricey, it was dire wasn't it? He sounded like he was communicating via a couple of baked bean tins on a piece of string. Or maybe that was just my radio............

It was shocking - it really brings the whole radio station down when they let chumps like that broadcast - shurey there must be better people around than him - oh and out side of Colin B and Dunney me and my brother were amazed that you have to not be able to prounounce your R's correctly to get a Local sports job on Radio Shropshire

He probably isnt even qualified, he's probably just a normal Bridgnorth Town supporter who Radio Shropshire ring every 20 minutes or so for an update. I used to love listening to Shifnal/Bridgnorth reports and would listen hard for any crowd cheering in the background, couldnt hear any....until Shifnal beat Telford 2-1 at Phoenix Park

It was mad when Shifnal beat us, there were flares flying around everywhere Galatasaray style Also, we were once 3-0 up at Bridgnorth at half time, Bridgnorth pulled two goals back in the second half whilst attacking down the slope, and with 5 minutes to go they hit the post, and I swear I heard a 'OOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!' from a few of the Bridgnorth fans from that small shed terrace behind the goal, I kid you not!

Kevin Seabury was a very loyal servant to the Town and a good player- however I would be surprised if anyone thought he is better than Darren Moss

The Bridgnorth commentator is not a commentator as such, more of a bloke who goes to their games and Radio Shropshire can rely to give them feed back. Its the same with the Ludlow,Shifnal, TNS and the rugby commentator's too

I played in games ref'd by Kevins' grandad, which makes me feel ancient Kevins best position was centre back, where he played for the youth team, pity he didn't grow a few more inches - although I do remember him playing very well as a sweeper behind Dave Walton. I believe he's now working at Minsterley Creameries, or whatever it's called now.

I saw him in Coleham only two days ago. He looked decidedly dodgy on his feet. I couldn't make my mind up if it was due to his old footie injuries or several sherbets that he'd just consummed in one of the local hostellery's.

Kev Seabury was good at his job unlike Radio Shropshire presenters that constantly mumble, fumble and stumble their way through any sports related presentation. They play the goal goal goal jingle when the opposition scores and to my mind are the biggest Albertross that STFC have around their neck.
No Radio Shropshire you are not biased to Telford or ourselves you need to have some sort of sporting knowledge to qualify to do this.

I actually think Radio Shrops give us decent coverage.
Both Col and Stu are always clued up on the opposition and on fans issues, certainly more than a lot of other local radio stations - also be grateful we don't have larger clubs playing in our area.
As for Kev, no-one will ever amass as many goalline clearances as he did, however, his form was on the slide and once his pace went and he started knocking in own goals, it was time for him to go.
It was always great to see him play though - Town fan through and through.

It would be nice if Radio Salop bothered to do live commentary more often and on a regular basis like Radio Camebridgshire and Oxfordshire and radio wales do ...

No Kevin Seabury does not work at Minsterley Creamery. But Gareth Hanmer does, along with a P Bevan, who I believe was once on the books as a goalkeeper. I heard a rumour that Wayne Williams had been for an interview as well, but not sure if that was true?

They have the option to broadcast the matches.
They've done a few this season and have doen a few the season before.
They must have the rights as Radiosalop is part of the bbc and and the bbc often broadcasts nationwide league games and does the odd conference game.
