Anyone have any pre-match rituals/superstitions that you follow before every game... and have they made any difference this season?
For me it's the same turnstile every game, but I know fans of other clubs that take the same route to the ground for home games, visit the same shops on the way, park in the same place etc...

Parking in the same place!!! how can anyone do that!
Last week for the Chester game, I was dead lucky, I was late, and worried I was going to make the kick off.... Bank Holiday Traffic on the M5. managed to park on the Cop. but usually, I park wherever I can.

2 pints of Carling in the BVT before a home match. One before Chester and Exeter - Drew. Two before N'wich, Sc'boro', St. Boro' - Win Too many before Telford (Lg) - Drew but not bothered Conversely: No beer before N'Wich away - Won Two before Hereford and both Telfords away - Lost So now you know the secret- make sure I have my second pint, even if you have to buy it and ram it down me throat ;D p.s. does not bode well for Gravesend, not leaving work in Scumford til 6.30....might have to pack cans!!!

never predict the score. logically if it worked we would be in the premiership now, but just dislike doing it. Bit of a ritual over the past couple of seasons is to chew my finger nails till they bleed during the last 10 minutes of a game ;D

1/ Drink in the Telepost. 2/ Sell a footy card or two 3/ Change off lots of coinage into notes once the bar has gone quite so as I don't walk with profound lean to the one side 4/ Miss kick off normally as a result of activity no.3

Funniest result of superstitions was at Southend a few years back. One of their players always wanted to be last down the tunnel at the start of each half. During half time one of their other players had a problem with his contact lens, so the other player waited until it was sorted before following him down the tunnel. Only thing was ref got fed up with waiting so kicked off leaving Southend with only 9 players
