Well, finally made my way back to Scumford after the celebrations went on into the night in Town, so what is there to say?
Well done boys, I think we have to let DRAS have their day for this one, Mr Ridler broke the deadlock and declared open season on poor Mr Westhead's big empty space - and I don't mean the bald patch on his bonce either!
The Enigma struck again, as soon as I saw him pull his shirt on I knew it was time for the second Golden Gamble of the afternoon, and it paid off!
And then the Great One put the nail in the coffin after a nailbiting few mnutes of "will this be Exeter again?", and there was much rejoicing in the Wakeman. I'd like to apologise now for Boinging after Darby put it in the onion bag. Most unseemly ;D
Also good to see Tolley and Cramb actually doing some running and challenging for the ball, moreso in Jamie's case, I think he's found his heart again (perhaps they accidentally bypassed it during one of his foot operations).
And as if that wasn't enough, there we were after giving them a good couple of minutes applause, slowly walking and clapping our way out, and the results came through from the rest of the play-off contenders. And there was EVEN MORE REJOICING!!!
A damn good day for Shropshire Football (Telford & Wrekin went it's own way a few years ago, so doesn't count ;D )
And now I come home to find that although none of my Shrewsbets got a result (maybe going 3 clear was a tad optimistic), I bagged a tidy sum on Southampton winning at 5/2 and a nice spread bet win on the Chelski/Everton first goal - or lack of, as the case may be!
COME ON YOU BLOOOOOSSSS!
