When i first floated the idea of getting a vets team together for a game i wasn't altogether sure of the response that we would have. Can i take this opportunity to thank all those that have expressed an interest and taken part in the games, the committment and enthusiasm as been brilliant. Can i also thank the two opposing teams that we've played. They've both given us respect and taken us seriously. Excellent. I think that is it for this season, we need time to recover ! However if people are still interested for next season i will arrange some games throughout the year..Two local vets teams have expressed an interest in giving us a game. Thank's once again, the banter was great fun.
Now, as you will be aware the cricket season is upon us. I wouldn't mind getting a vets team together to play a couple of match's through the summer. I can get the kit required and i'm sure that we can get a pitch somewhere. What does anyone else think? My personal preference would be for an international. English B & A against Welsh B & A. I think that would give us scope for plenty of fun and competition.

Well Im certainly up for a cricket game- have got a bat somewhere but that's about it. You are right to give the footie a rest now- if we can keep the interest to next season and play a couple of vets teams as well as the important rematches against the fan's teams then that sounds great. I think Liverpool might be contacting us about a loan move for a penalty taker in the close season

Well done to the vets. I enjoyed yesterday very much. And i hope that you are up for a re-match at some stage? I would be up for some B&A cricket.

Well done to Jamo2 for the inspiration and organisation behind the vets team Sorry I was only able to play in the first game, but I'm sure I'll be back for more, especially as Joshua and Rebecca grow a bit older and make things a little easier for Mummy!! Could be up for cricket just depends when.
