Yes, there was a couple of hundred fans locked out, cus we have a 6000 capacity stadium and nearly 7000 turned up. Nothing to do with incompetence, just the people of Chester wanting to see the CHAMPIONS. Good luck in the play-offs eh!

There were about 300 town fans locked out earlier in the season.
Chester haven't even got 4000 fans

why the big deal that you have more fans than us....so what!!!!
made me laugh - earlier post said "chester dont have 4000 fans"
well how come when we came we took over 2,000 and the crowd was 5,800 and on sat you only got 3,600 at home....work it out yourselves!!!
last home game of our season and there was a good chance the trophy would be lifted so you would expect to see loads of people turn up to see it. we only have a small ground so some people couldnt get in....haven't you got more important things to think about at the moment?

and alot of shrews fans were put off by it being all ticket and recent poor performances
