Twas a striker's goal he scored today. I can't help but think it's his best position. If Luke goes in the summer maybe he'll get an opportunity?

I like Ryan , don't get me wrong but i still think he's a "super Sub", ant if Luke goes in the summer , Jody will be sniffing for a little attention i'm sure , and i think theres still alot more to Jody than what we have seen yet.

i think he could do a good job as a striker aswell, always thought that was his position any way? shifted out wide last season and hes become a winger ?

Give him another chance up front- two nothing to play for games ahead- Cramb suspended, Banim fasting, Darby could do with resting- why not?

Quinn says Lowe is an attacking midfielder, so its very unlikely he'll play upfront. I'm struggling to recall the last time Lowe was given a run of games upfront, may have been the tailend of the 01/02 season when Luke was suspended. I'll always remember the bury game where he demolished them (hatrick). Lowe is deffinetly a striker, he's scored something like 14/15 from midfield this season, just think of the damage he'd have caused had he been played upfront.....

I mentioned on the chatroom today to give Ryan a run out alongside Darby. Hes a clever player, who learnt a lot from Jemmo.
I think it could work given some time (pre season), certainly worth a contract IMO, especially given uncertainty regarding Luke.

at the game today i thought he looked hungry for the ball. perhaps as we have nothin to play for then a chance up front would be ideal all round. gives ryan a chance and also give darby or rodgers a rest n make sure they r fit for the play-offs

In the age of squad budgeting - Ryan Lowe is an ideal player to have in the sqaud, as is Sedgemore.
Both try to do their best in the positions they are asked to cover when required.
I think he will only improve further.

Worth playing him up front to rest Darby and Rodgers for the playoffs.Doubt he will be here next year though.

I'm not a big fan of Ryan Lowe, but i will day he took a gamble on the ball dropping to him for his goal, which is somrthing Luke doesn't do, and it paid off to score a good goal poachers goal.
When he first came he showed a lot of promise, but for me he hasn't progressed from that. He's to weak in the challenge, occasionally backing out, to weak in possession and loses the ball far to often, which cost us a few goals last season in the run in, and he's done it a few times this season as well. Whenever he gets the ball in breakaway instead of taking it forward he stops and lets the opposition get players back, everytime a 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 is lost through his hesitation/indecision and he usually ends up losing the ball!!
But his goalscoring record is good, so maybe he should be given a run in the side as a striker, in fact, why wasn't he used instaed of Banim when Luke was left out.
if he gets a new contract it's got to be as a forward, not a right sided player, he just isn't good enough to play that postion with any authority.

I agree with evo. I don't think Rogers and Darby works as a partnership, Luke dosn't get close enough to him to pick up any flick ons. I think Ryan and Duane would work.

sent a question to ask Jimmy about considering a lowe/darby partnership for the last two games.
good idea that.

Spot on, Lowe/Watts looked good pre season and I think he would be OK playing behind Derby. Anyone who scores as many as he does when out of position must have an instinct for goal scoring.

Oberservations of a player who has spent 80% of his time here being played out of position. I agree with some of the points, however KR & JQ have stuck with his indifferent form as his goals from midfield are crucial. Give him the run out up front, I really think he could do a good job.

Why are people suddenly wanting Jimmy Quinn to tinker with the formation. Now he finally seems to have decided what team to play stick with it.
The time to experiment is in pre-season not now.
