I've just had possible the best game of my life on Championship Manager.
I am PSV. Going into the last game of the season the top four was 1. Ajax 71pts 2. NEC 68pts +37goal diff 3. PSV 68pts +31goal diff 4. Feyenoord 67pts
Ajax were playing second to bottom RBC, i was playing 11th place AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord were playing bottom club Zwolle and NEC were plauing the team in fifth, ADO Den Haag.
Ajax went 1-0 up after 7mins, at the same time i went 1-0 down. I though that was it. Then RBC managed to equalise, but a minute after half time i conceaded my third goal. So i was dead and buried. But i managed to pull a goal back. At the same time RBC scored two goals within five minutes making it 3-1 to them. The Feynoord scored. Putting them above me and pushing me down to fourth and out of the champions league qualification places.
The in the 80th minute Mark Van Bommel Hit a 35yard screamer. The i changed my tactis to all out attack. And scored two goals in the last minute to win 4-3. Good game and i thought at least i've got third. Took a look at the table and i was top. I couldn't believe it! My best game ever!!
Anyone else got any good stories about their favourite games?

The easiest way is to cheat early on With 96/97 join up as a manager with say Manure and sell them your worst players and throw in a couple of their good but young players. Get say £20m in the bank, so you can buy and afford wages and your off and running

how you guys soo good with shrewsbury I'm in divison 1 with Town on the latest version of it. I sold practically the whole squad and got in loads of good youngsters and older players on frees. I made a bit of money 'cus of there low wages. And also 'cus of good cup runs. Some of the yougnsters were very talented and i sold them off for over a million thus giving me a sound financial state. Then i was able to sign better players and move up the division. Which version are you using blueshrew?

I know someone who once took over a club who had just been relegated to the conference after their worst season ever. he inherited only 10 players, and had to make up the rest from other clubs. Mainly his previous one.
He made the play-offs, despite never quite finding the best 11 until just before the play-offs began.
He took some stick from the fans, but he doesnt read the forums about the team, so the hardest criticism fell by the wayside.
oh? are you talking about CM the game, I thought you were talking about real life.

my best game would have to be in the uefa cup final with man city in my first season.
went 1-0 down in the first half to sparta prague, made it 1-1 with 5 mins to go, a jairo fernando castillo goal( he is qualtiy and quite cheap) ,in the last minute of extra time richie partridge, a loan signing from liverpool, scored a screamer to win it. then went onto lose the FA cup final to leeds in the next game i played

My best game on the new game wa in the second division play off final - The centerback pairing that won us promotion out of the third division Daniel March and a loan player Called John Halls had been emence in Division 3 the year before and Hall had joined full time in the summer thanks to a good FA cup run and Man city at home Sell out in round 5. March had scored the winner from a corner against Carslie last day of the season to send us up to the second. But in preseason training March had take a bad knock and was out until the end of the season.
The game against Cheltenham kicked off in a end to end game with town missing chances and the robins scoreing two through Duff and Victory. Fitzpatric look tired up front after a lond season and the replcement centerback a loan player ws on a 4
HT and March who had by now got back the squad for training and had shocked everyone when he made the bench even though he had played no games in the second division yes and still lacked mach fitness. The change worked as March started to control the back line giving Moss and Vincent (the left and right backs) space to go forward, 4 minutes in Fitzy socres and its 2-1 and then with 20 miutes to go J Tolley (playing in center mid with Glen Tolley) scores a 30 yarder to pull us level. The game is heading for extra time when good work from Astion and forward Slabber wins town a corner - and March hunts up the pitch looking for a header. 2 minutes later we are promoted as March scores his second goal in 2 years from centerback and both of them were promotion goals for the town!!! -
Now thats to me is the pure essesnce of why Champ man is as addictive as it is!!!
