I want Bradford to wind but Vale will probably nick it 1-0.
Not a bad start to the game.

A Bradford win is too much to hope for ... but if the h/t score is the final score, that would do nicely!!

Not too bothered. They look pants. They have it all to do anyway. On the plus side, we won't have Bradford's Queenybantam on here. www.skysports.com/football/league/0,19540,11749,00.html

As bad a game to watch as Town at Bury. Unfortunate the Sky look to view some shocking games played on shocking pitches. Bradford only looked a threat when they brought on Speight towards the end. Decent goal from Bradford and how they missed that final chance, no idea...he had some much of the goal to aim at...schade schade... Thought the second Vale goal should have stood too, too close close to flag for off side... Chesterfield v Rotherham live next month...

Sorry does that mean when we sell the 1,300 the ground will be a sell out? No idea honestly as I don't know the capacity..... If not it would be daft not to send us a extra batch? More cash for you, better atmosphere for us all. If we beat Stevenage at home Tuesday they will sell like Oatcakes!

There is nowehere else away fans could go, simple as. Does the away stand hold 1700+ With no segregation, yes. But with all the netting and the front two rows netted off, it goes down to about 1300

Thing is we might aswell sell out the away end for 2 reasons. 1.there will be a few extra quid for the club towards the policing bill. 2.if Vale fans are going to kick off 2 rows of seats covered in netting wont stop them so the netting is pointless.

I assume they will get the full 1,700 or so (if required) but theres no way they will get anymore than the North Stand.
Anyway, its about time we had a game where we have the usual "we will sell loads, need double the allocation, loads will go in the home end", its been a while.

Doubt that the club will withdraw these preventative measure just a make a few more quid. How effective the netting will be is doubtful but I'm sure the police won't allow us to give PV fans a barrier free route to the pitch and Block 19/18.

I guess a lot depends on what orders the club have had from the relevant safety group authorities who were present on the night of the Hereford game
Before then there seemed very little planning in terms of segreation, preventative measures etc. Since then of course we have seen the little gates put up between the North & West Stand, the gate outside shut a lot and a lot more netting/attempted segreation, eg the Chesterfield game where lots of the North Stand was shut off.
Were these under the instructions of the police, security authorities or just decisions made by the club?
One thing I would expect to see is a noticable police presence inside the ground from the start

Keeping in mind recent games between Shrewsbury and Port Vale and the fact the game is likely to be quite a crucial one between sides challenging for promotion, I'd expect a fair bit of thought to go into the policing of this game
My guess would be the away allocation will be below the full capacity of the away end and stewards/police used to create a barrier between the away end and Town fans. Shame if that's the case but probably needed to avoid any trouble

THe thing is though there will be poice at the game so we will get billed why not fill all the seats, the extra 400 seats sold will cover the police bill.
