Apparently the attendance at Old Trafford is going to be 80 short of 76,000, 9,000 from Crawley!

just not a game that really means anything to me. can never support man u, but crawley just aren't a poor little team - they've spent more money than most division 1 clubs - and even championship clubs haven't - despite not having hardly any support and having been in administration twice in recent years.
and as if crawley are going to get anything from old trafford anyway. it might have been slightly different if it were the other way around.
the orient v arsenal game is by far a better one to view in my opinion. orient have less money than crawley, don't have a mouthy manager in charge and actually have the home advantage factor which might make it uncomfortable for arsenal. plus as a spurs fan too, there's the added bonus that orient have a couple of spurs youngsters onloan.

i'm tempted to put a small wager on crawley 25/1 ? can see fergie protecting a few targets for whoever united have in champs league tues/wed ? i think they have a better chance than exeter who got a draw there 25/1 seems better odds to me than in reality i reckon they would win one out of 25 especially if they get a good start

Even if guys like Bebe and Obertan play they'll have way too much for Crawley. And even if they do get an early goal, there's no way they'll be able to hold on at Old Trafford.

I think United will win, but not comprehensively. Remember they drew 0-0 with Burton a few years ago? I reckon Giggs, Scholes will play along with a few younger players.
Will certainly give Crawley some more money.

That was away though - Fergie played the same team at OT and destroyed Burton. I think United will win 3-1. And I wouldn't be supporting Crawley even if they were playing a team I didn't like. Horrible club.

Interesting. My second (by some way) team in Utd so i will be supporting them. But if it was against any other sides, couldn't see myself supporting Crawley, just don't see what there is to like about them. And yeah, where have they got 9000 from??? They average 1800 in the league.
Expect fair few utd players to be missing, but still strong. likes of Very quick guess, prob entirely wrong Utd team: Lindegaard Rafael - Evans - Smalling - Fabio Obertan -Carrick - Anderson - Giggs Chicarito - Owen
But really no idea!

I'd avoid the M1 tomorrow with 70,000 people travelling up it with comments like that you better avoid a few local roads too

I'd avoid the M1 tomorrow with 70,000 people travelling up it that's not right because about 60,000 are flying in from Dublin.

Pity it's not Torquay going there - much more deserving case although good luck to the Crawley fans. Like the decent Notts supporters last season they can't affect what happens to their club.
I'd still want United to win though.

I've never supported Man Utd against any team... until now. Hope they batter Crawley and destroy their confidence so they miss out on promotion by a point

Just put £2 on Crawley on Bet365 at 28/1. Don't under estimate the magic of the FA Cup.

Can't say I am bothered either way but that in itself isn't the norm. I would normally find myself supporting the vast majority of non-league sides in the Cup. Just can't get myself to wish Crawley well though...
Strange days indeed considering I wanted FC United of Manchester dumped out of the Cup as early as too...

I love the FA Cup for how it gets the public interested in football. It's much like the World Cup in how it can drum up some spirit in people who wouldn't normally care less. For me that's something that the Premiership and Champions League doesn't do.
Sure, there will be day trippers to Old Trafford but if it inspires any of them to go and watch Crawley on a regular basis that can only be good for the club and for football in general.
Personally, I don't really care much about who's playing just that there's a potential giant killing match taking place. Great for football, great for The FA Cup.
Prediction: United 3 Crawley 1 (hat trick from someone skillful such as Hernandez or Anderson). Crawley to take the lead and be one up at half time, United to score all three in the last 20 mins.
