Will never be a player good enough for league two. He could maybe cut it in BSP, but even that's not certain. Very poor player who really is out of his depth at STFC. You can't be serious 100%. It is a waste of our budget to be paying him to be a player for us. I'd rather have Guy Madjo back.

Think Leslie gets a lot of undeserved criticism by many on here. If Leslie had put in the performance by Wright yesterday, he'd have been crucified, and yet there's been relatively little mention of that. Though he's probably too inconsistent to warrant a place in the starting eleven, I'm amazed anyone can deny that he's a very good squad player, who on his day has the ability to put in a good cross, has a decent shot on him, and isn't afraid to come inside and pass the ball around. He also seems to have value as a player who can strengthen the team in the middle of the pitch if we're being overrun there, with Aldershot at home being an example of this.

Im not saying he is great, but come on guys, give the lad a break. He's a great squad player, capable of picking a pass or scoring a wonder goal - he cuts in well and his left foot crosses can be just brilliant (always remember wycombe away on sky for one example) The inconsistency arguement isn't a good one IMO, any player that can play consistently brilliant is in the premiership, so we can't expect that from him. Ainsworth and Wright can be inconsistent but admittedly - with more experience on their side - to a lesser extent. Therefore Leslie probably never will be our main man but he can certainly hack it as this level. There's no-one in the Premier League that's consistently brilliant. What's needed is consistently good League 2 level performances - such as David Raven, for example, has always provided so far. He's always been reliable, hasn't had a bad game but doesn't grab much attention. I know Leslie plays different positions but if he could consistently do the simple things effectively he'd have a much better chance of holding down a starting position. We need that sort of player more than a very occasional match winner who too often performs below the standard of those around him.

For those who think Leslie is good enough ask yourself this.Do you think he is good enough to play in league1? Most of our first team are good enough for league one but he aint. I want to see town set high standards but with him in thew squad there is no chance. Tbf i have honestly seen better players in the sunday league prem and if you dont belive me go and look for yourselves. Talking crap alert! give the lad a break
