Since I now work down South during the week I will not be able to make my 'home' game..just as I couldn't make the Stoke game or any other northern based midweek game for that matter.
I can't believe that the majority of local derbys this season seem to be midweek...Frustrating...but I'll live.

State of 'em. By the by, whoever said we were a 'big club'...I couldnt give a s**te if one man and his dog turned up as long as we get a decent performance...

Havent bothered reading it, can imagine the usual stuff and if we take anything less than 1,000 it will be poor, no argument.
Although they dont half get carried away. Remember a few years back and we around 1500 there and they slated out turnout. However their two turnouts here have been 900 & 1400 I believe so its hardly like they are swamping Planet Greenhous
Yes its a big game but its hardly the title decider some people are making it out to be as its so early. I think 1,200 will be an ok turnout if we can get to that. I know its not a million miles away but its not exactly an easy place to get to on a Tuesday night and there will undoubtedly be people who are put off because of the off the field stuff

Plus the coaches are leaving before a lot of people finish work, which seems a shame. I was thinking of going by coach as I don't much fancy the drive but now I'm not sure what to do, or whether to go.

Went to get 2 more for a couple of uni mates.
Bloke in front of me bought 13, and the lady behind me bought 4.
Looks like the total is starting to creep up.

Looks like they're working themselves into a frenzy. I can understand sam being excited, but the thought of getting up very early, working my nuts off, dashing to Stoke, then having a late night when I've got a very big Wednesday, isn't very appealing. Vale are typical of second teams in a city, (note Knots), in trying to big themselves up, when the truth is, that they're no more important than us, Hereford or Accy. Which is why they can't understand why we 3,000 to Stoke, but will probably take about a 1,000 to their place. Mind you, if it was Hereford, I'd make an exception and put myself out to go.

Yeah just had the mail and the same article is on Shrewsweb www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~2167727,00.html Lets just say Id be surprised if we have sold 400 this morning!! Anyway 1,100+ on a Tuesday night for an early season game is a decent turnout Quite entertaining reading their forum now. End of last week when we had sold 500 or so we was told it was a pathetic turnout and we should be taking at least 1,000. Now we have shifted over 1,000 then thats a pathetic following and we should be taking 2,000+

I thought that was sufficient to say I was joking! Just had a text from one of our group saying he'd read on here that there were no tickets on sale today..................... worried I hadn't managed to get him one.

1100 is a cracking effort, especially considering we had only shifted 300 a few days back!
Now, lets make some real noise and cheer the lads on to 3 massive points.
SALOP SALOP

Not that I like to speak bad of fellow Staffs folk but some of 'em are right rum, lord knows what was dropped in the Trent round them parts. By the time kick off comes about we'll have someone posting they'd be taking near on 10,000 if the fixture were reserved... Anyhows, come on Town!! Wish everyone travelling a safe and pleasant trip and hope its a cracking game...

And just to prove my point, another classic post "we would take closer to 3000 given the importance of this match (good old 6 pointer). I think the games against Shrewsbury are now the most anticipated of the season (perhaps not for them because they are cr*p)" I look forward to going to a big club tonight with vastly superior crowds to us...........

However their two turnouts here have been 900 & 1400 I believe so its hardly like they are swamping Planet Greenhous They bought 989 (08/09) and last season only bought 1,155, it looks like we'll bring more than that for a tuesday night game. The Vale fans on that thread seriously don't know what they're talking about, 1,155 for them last season was shocking.

Well we have AVERAGED around 1,200 so for for the four [WINNING] away league games, I'll stand corrected but THAT MUST be the best away support by some way in this division so far???

I'm a little disappointed by the turnout tonight as my mate at the Football League tells me you get awarded an extra point if you take 1500+ to an away game ! Seriously I think 1100+ is a great turnout well done to everyone.
