I was unable to make yesterdays game but by all accounts it was a nice return to the glorious flowing passing football Turner has installed. Wycombe next on the agenda! Expecting a tight game as they don't score many and don't let many in. Harrold returning should make things interesting, as the Wycombe fans I know don't rate him at all. Looks OK to me ! I'll be trekking down from Notts, who else is in? Up the Shrews!

In letting Harold join us for free i presume WWFC must have the best strike force in the division. Then again.....

Looking forward to it and hopefully dragging a few London mates along.
Harrold's release by Wycombe is a good example of how a player's form can differ from club to club.
Based on what he's shown for us so far, I find it unbelievable that Wycombe thought it was a good idea to release him - I know it's early days, but he's been player of the season so far for me. However, maybe all there is to it is that our style of play suits him better than theirs did.

I'll be going of course, always enjoy going to Adams Park, not least because I can always find parking for my 4 be 4.
We're picking up Julie again for this one Clive, will you still be interested in coming, after what happened at Stockport? Drop me a PM.

For those who are going, there's a cracking little pub quite close to the ground. It's up in those woods next to the ground, good food and some good beers. Makes it an interesting walk to the ground too!

Makes it an interesting walk to the ground too! What's this pub called? I've been a few times, and always have to make do with getting mildly sloshed on the train and waiting for their bloody train station to stadium bus! Not sure if I can make it on Saturday, but I'm doing the EuroMillions on friday, and if (sorry, when) I win, I'm hiring a helicopter (with blue and amber blades).

The Hour Glass is at the bottom of the road up to the ground
No idea about a pub up through the trees though - more info please (even though I will probably be driving)

If you're driving that's even better. my mates dad left his car there to watch the game and then picked it up after, only a ten min walk from the ground. if you leave directly from a ground, there can be quite a bit of traffic so this is much easier. i'm just waiting for my mate to get back to me about it, and will let you know

The pub is called the 'Live and let live', a nobel sentiment for these troubled times. I've attached a map. If you scroll up on the map then you can see the ground. When you get to the pub, ask the people inside how to get to the ground and they should point you in the right direction (as I said you have to walk through the woods, but you shouldn't get lost, it's pretty straightforward). www.ukpubfinder.com/pub/22393

If you're using public transport - get the District Line from Putney Bridge to Edgware Road then its a five-minute walk to Marylebone - 40mins top train journey from there to High Wycombe. Fairly straightforward!

My first game of the season - sitting with my brother-in-law who has a season ticket for Wycombe. Suppose I can't wear my scarf...
