I'll go for Raven as MoM for me, but Disley was superb also, Robinson did well to take those two goals after a quiet first half. Harrold was physically good, Sharps and Sherriff commanding and Neal did well in what were difficult conditions for keepers today

Very enjoyable game today, the only disappointment only scoring 1 in the first half! Chris Neal was floundering at the free kick and his positioning left too much to do. Thornton did hit it well though! Steve Leslie is still not up to it! Harrold and Disley were excellent, but Raven just edges it for me. He is proving to be an excellent signing, and along with Sadler are 2 of the best full backs we have had in a long, long time.

great game and great performance, and credit to N'ton for playing their part. As well as every Town player played, I think Thortnon was best player on the pitch - apart from him N'ton are nothing.
Disley & McAllister were superb, and everyone else played well. Looked a bit casual after went 3-1 up and got sloppy with passing, but minor issue.
I think Neal looks more confident wirh coming for crosses, but he was still woefully positioned with free-kick, and this needs to be addressed as it could cost us points. Also all the small players were in the wall. To be honest I would have been surprised if Thornton had NOT scored as you could have got a coach and horses up and over the wall and into the net.
If we continue to play like this at home I can see us scoring loads of goals. Away won't be so easy but if we can address this, then will be an exciting season.
On the ref, after the 3 missed corners in first 10 mins, he had a great game - no cards and played advantage well.

Well happy with that! A great way to bounce back, comfortable at all times.
I can't agree with the leslie haters at the moment, I have in the past, but to me we play much better as a team with him in it. Today he ran at them as we would expect off Ainsworth and there can't be much difference between the balls he loses and those Lionel does. If Ainsworth is fit for saturday, he shouldn't start. I thought about it the last time we were in this situation but wasn't really sure, now I am.

I'm another one who thought that Neal was poorly positioned..but sorting out things like that is what we pay Gerrard for!
Leslie was for me the poorest player on our side.
Credit must go to Sharps who had an outstanding game and won everything in the air.

I thought leslie did well, and should probably get a chance now, I thought McAllister was our worst player though, gives the ball away far to much, and leaves Disley short

Thought it was a good performance. Disley had his best game in a Shrewsbury shirt, his passing and movement was excellent. All defenders were solid and comfortable in possession. Wright was good as usual, Mc.Allister played better than his previous 2 matches but still gave the ball away to many times for my liking. Robinson looked a threat with his pace and his goals well, just hope he can take that away from home. Harrold did o.k but nothing more than that. Leslie did a decent job. All in all a good team performance and an enjoyable game to watch.

Can't quite believe that in an excellent 3-1 win so many people are still slating leslie!
Thought both strikers were excellent today, Harrold is rapidly proving to be the best big man we've had in a very long time - when you think back to Hibbert, Stallard, Gayle etc
Robinson his 2 goals well and could certainly have had another but appeared to get caught in two minds
Fantastic that we bounced back so well from a loss last week, well done!

I was thinking today, Its been a long time since I've seen a player like Harrold who is able to chest and control the ball so well, as much as we admired Hibbert for trying last year, Harrold is clearly a different level.
I knew when we got him he'd be good, but am so suprised Wycombe released him,
Also got fantastic first touch and control for a big man

This was an EXCELLENT performance today against a very good side. No nonsense in defence, with an inspirational leader. Creative and solid in midfield using the width of the pitch well and a cutting edge up front. SUPERB.
As for Leslie, he did brilliantly. He caused their defenders no end of problems. By cutting inside he showed so much more of a footballing brain than Chris 'fairy footsteps' Humphrey ever did.
I heard people chatting today about whether we we 'top or not' ? How goods that ?

I thought McAllister was our worst player though, gives the ball away far to much, and leaves Disley short he probably does give the ball away more than anyone else in our side, but that is largely because he has it more than others. i would also, very confidently, say that he wins the ball back a lot more often than he gives it away.

Credit must go to Sharps who had an outstanding game and won everything in the air. Agree with that definitely. Him & Shane look very, very settled now. Look at the goals Rotherham have scored, except when they played us.

Didn't go but the fact that there are so many opinions on who was MOTM speaks volumes. Two very tricky away games coming up, 4 points would be great but realistically 2 or 3 points would be ok. These are arguably the 2 toughest away games this season.

I dont think the Wycombe trip will be as tough as people think. As for vale all their good results are away from vale park so it would be nice to come away from the 2 games unbeaten

Thought we played really well but Leslie once again frustrated me. He could be a really good player but he just isnt. Gives the ball away to often and when it comes to trying to defent a bit he may aswel not be there. Thought everone else played well yesterday though, Wright was a constand threat especially first half and would have scored but for a deflection on a shot heading for the far corner (ref gave a goal kick.) Robbo didnt do alot i fairness, until his first goal that must have been 10 yeards offside but who cares? He both goals very well and if he keeps scoring thats enough for me. The defence was solid and my MOM was Disley, ran the game from midfield. Good to know we can still play like this without Ainsworth.
