I agree with all ther marks given apart from Chris Neal what the hell was he doing glued to the post for their goal . Mom for me would have to be either of the wing backs today they got forward so much today it was good to see.

How does Neal get 8/10 when thats worse positioning I've seen for a freekick in god knows how many years..... it was a good yard inside the post and he was still nowhere near, awful starting position and he even positioned the wall, I was livid at half and calling for Smith. Having said that really enjoyed the game, notice most people on Radio Shrops were giving MOM to Disley but for me it was Harold, really enjoying watching him play this season. Raven played really well too. Most pleasing thing was our passing game again and I thought Northampton tried to play good football too. Overall I was pleased with everyone but good to see judging from Turner's post match comments that he see's what the majority of see in Leslie, still not good enough (yet).

11 men of the match out there today. Special mentions for David Raven for the first half, Disley and Robinson after last weeks display.

I will give Leslie credit when he deserves credit and to be fair he put a shift in today but overall I do not rate him and never have. Just my opinion of course.

Right, so he makes one mistake and you call for his head? He's a quality keeper and has finally proven himself this year. Smith is nowhere near the same quality as Neal! I'm sure if Hart was dropped for his mistake you'd go mental at Man City! Fickle!

Got to agree about Chris Neal's positional play for their goal, when the free kick was taken.Even though Thornton hit the ball sweetly,Neal left himself far too much distance to get to the ball, apart from that, he had a good game.

I've been very pleased with Neal this season and my get Smith on comment was made at half time when I was very frustrated but no I would not call for him to be dropped. What disappointed me most was how myself and people around me questioned his positioning way before the freekick was . I have to question your "Smith is nowhere near the same quality as Neal" comment though. I've not seen enough of Smith to back that up to be honest but I can't say I could criticise any on Smiths performances so far.....

That was a really great performance today and a very well deserved 3 points. Harrold, Disley, Robinson and Wright were all excellent today, but i'd give my M.O.M ta Mcallister. I thought he was outstanding for us today

Matt Sadlers' best game for us today, closely followed by Disley who's showing what we all saw at Wembley when he played for The Gas.

Northamptons minds were on Liverpool in the carling cup midweek, they never turned up today. We played OK, no better. Thank you the fixture fairy

Great team performance today, with my MOM probably Disley, but I thought everyone played well today. Special mention for the back four who look the best we've had for a long time. Agree about Chris Neal's positioning, but he never put a foot wrong for the rest of the match Onwards and upwards COYB

Decent enough performance today against a poor team. Guilty of over playing it sometimes, should have had the game rapt up before they scored the freekick. Neal's positioning for there freekick was poor, way to far over to his left. Harrold's goal was well taken, along with both of Robinson's. No poor performances today, Raven, Wright and Harrold stood out for me.

Decent game, we played well.
Very unfair to criticize Neal on the basis of one mistake, especially as Smith did the same mistake in the pre-season friendly against Tranmere.
Disley my MOTM, always in the right place, hardly gave the ball away an generally dictated the tempo of the game

WEll I rate Leslie and think GT does as well he got us goals when needed. If Leslie goes he come back and bite us in bum that's 3 managers that he's been under and still a shrews player so are they all wrong.

I wouldn't even call it a mistake to be honest (even though I did in my first post), more just an error of judgemnt. And we won, so we don't need to care about what if we lost

Agree with most said. Disley superb, completely different player this season. Just hope he stays fit. Also thought centre backs (and in fact whole back 4) were superb. Although northampton were pretty dreadful, some decent players, but just not on it today. Might struggle this ssn on that performance. Very young team, think I counted only 2 players over 24 for them

Great overall team performance today. We were deserving winners today, felt we definitley outplayed Northampton. Raven, Disley, Harrold, Robbo & Wright all stood out for me today. Neal was out of position for the equaliser but did nothing else wrong apart from that & agree he is still better than Smithy imo. Good reaction from last week town, roll on Wycombe & Vale.

The thing that I love is our centre halves will have the ball and will feel confident enough to pass it to our midfield who are comfortable on the ball even though they have a man on them and they are facing their own goal.
When was the last time we had that?

I can only echo what's been said already. A very good performance, some great passing football and a deserved win.

Oh and two other random thoughts
The one where Robinson scuffed wide, that was a brilliant move and a shame didnt end in a goal
In the first half, there must have been a period where we put togther 30 passes together, looked so comfortable on the ball.

I think robinson got caught in 2 minds with that chance. He really should of squared it to Wright for a tap in.
