Seem to remember Real Madrid charging £750k to play a friendly to raise money for Puskas and he was a legend for them - imagine what they'd demand to come and play us!! Dont think belvidereshrew understands that clubs want a fee and who pays for that fee? The fans - hence £65 admission and the 100% must for a full house I agree that a fee would be required and I know that the fees charged by the big european clubs are likely to be excessive. However I doubt the club would approve of a game that would require a £65 admission fee, which after all would be for the fans. It's more likely anyway that a Premiership club would be asked and I am not aware that even they make demands that would require such a high admission price.

Perhaps Real Madrid will have bought Steve Leslie for £30m by then and will agree to play a friendly as part of the deal

I hope you are truly ashamed of your actions!!!! Everyone knows that it will be Barcelona that come here anyway when they take Tom Bradshaw from us for £45m

Another thing we could do is possibley look for another club also formed in 1886 and play them at home and then play them away. A scottish club or a dutch or even a french club would be quite a good idea of similar standard.
Infact Motherwell wouldn't be a bad bet as they were also formed in 1886. It would actually be quite cool to play them over 2 legs in a 125th anniversary cup or something similar. I also believe we would certainly be a match for them. Chris Humphrey anyone?
