Doesn't sound like Town are gonna do anything.
Good save by Nash from Leslie.

If we can get some real pressure on their goal now mistakes may happen.
With the 2,000 plus fans behind the team this could be a great finish to the game.
Come on lads.

Schade schade...but nonetheless, not a bad result considering and I'm sure the performance was decent enough too. Onwards and upwards...

Really good effort against a very strong Stoke side. Can be very proud of themselves. And I can go to work with my head held high!

Brilliant effort! Lewis Neal almost snatched an leveller with his first touch.
Cannot wait til Saturday. Another big following cheering us on i'm sure. That 6am rise will be well worth it!

Fair play. I'm proud of our lads tonight,
Just a 2-1 defeat against a rather solid premier league club and we gave it a real go tonight.
Turner is really turning us around. Really wish I could have been there.

At 2.0 down feared that it might become a bit of a thumping but sounds like we put a really good shift in during the 2nd half, just a shame we couldn't call on harrold and ainsworth but a decent result and good performance that should go us good as the season goes on

Good effort by the town tonight. Not much in it first 20 mins or so but then the first bit of quality form stoke and they were in front. After the second goal I feared we might get beat 4-5 as Etherington and Tuncay were starting to get on their game. HT came at the right time. Credit to the Town though in the second half we gradually started to pass the ball a bit better with Wright beginning to get in the game. We didn't create too much but we gave it a real go.
Felt a bit sorry for poor old BVDB up front on his own against the stoke defence - he's not really a Matt Harrold but did his best against overwhelming odds. Hopefully, he'll get a game playing off harrold as attacking midfielder at some point.

I thought tactically it worked better with bradshaw, his movement was incredible, which allowed a lot of space for Wright and Leslie along with Disley to open up and stretch Stoke a bit. VDB did well but he was never gonna hurt Stoke in the air. We did however stretch them with pace and they looked a little vunarable. If Ainsworth and Robbo played i think we could have hurt them more.
