The best moment as a town fan for me are;
Beating Bury in Semi Final Play Offs. Beating Aldershot at Stoke. Beating 3-1 against top of the league Plymouth with 10 men for 70 minutes.
The worse moments for me;
Losing 5-1 against Bristol Rovers at the Gay Meadow Losing to Gillingham in the Play off Final Losing 3-1 to Carlisle at the Gay Meadow, which clinched us getting relegated.

Best moments
MK & Bury (MK pipping it as no one gave us a chance and the attitude of their fans) Fulham at home when we won to play Liverpool. A classic night time cup atmosphere and arguably the biggest crowd Ive been in at the Meadow Watford at home. A emphatic 4-1 win in the cup with a certain Mr James in goal The games that sealed promotion and the championship on 93/94 (Northampton & Scunny) Obviously Everton, the fact we outplayed them too made it even sweeter Exeter away but that memory is ruined by relegation a few years later Northwich away on new years day and seeing the crowd we had
Worst Moments Defeats away at Halifax and then home to Brighton where I thought we were getting relegated Consectutive late defeats to Macc & Wrexham when relegation was on the cards The Carlisle game The Northampton game The anti climax of Liverpool The Preston game when we got relegated Darlington last season

Yeah went 1-0 down and down to 10 men early on. Then a great performance and a great atmosphere with loads on the Riverside giving it the "we only need 10 men" I remembered another game which wont be the most high profile game but was an important result. 2 nil down at half time to Kiddy and then a Moss inspired performance to win 4-2

I also seem to remember a similiar performance against someone else. Could it have been Scarborough?

last game of the season a year or so back at Daggers, win to get into the play offs: Some Town "fans" calling my girlfriend a paki as she went to the toilet during half time... Not rare for a Shrews fan to be racist is it? I've heard many racist fans at town games. Shows the quality and intelligence of that person insulting your girlfriend who paid to help fund the team they're watching! Best moment ... Used to love the away days at Wrexham. Worst Moment ... Either Wembley trips or Ashton scoring an own goal against Bury in the play off semis

They've never kicked out the knuckle-draggers even when they've had the chance.

Worst: Probably worst was Notts County away just as Jimmy Quinn had left and before Peters over. A long way to go to watch a dismal performance and be mocked by some of their fans at the station. The only good thing was meeting up with friends.
Best: I find it hard to decide between being at the Britannia Stadium for the Conference play-off final- and the 7-0 goal fest against Gillingham, but the latter was eclipsed by Wembly of course- and that was one of the worst. Conference Play off final was a brilliant day, atmosphere, drama- going from the depths as the shots scored first, and as Luke Rodgers skied the first penalty over the bar, to unspeakable joy as Challis put that last ball away and our fans erupted into raptures of joy!!

Best - the League Cup win against Everton in 1961. Totally unexpected as Everton were a top team and we had never done anything like that before. Turned out to be the first of many good performances against top teams.
Worst - can't decide between the FA Cup loss to Liverpool, mainly because of the pathetic 'we are not worthy' attitude of the club which had us as losers before we started or the defeat by Staines. I had never been so disheartened in all my years of supporting Town.
Best and worst in 1 game - Chelsea 1966. We played superbly and were robbed by an offside goal the linesman flagged for and the ref refused to acknowledge him. Then, after the game, a gang of Chelsea morons attacked me and my sister who was 13 years old.

I had never been so disheartened in all my years of supporting Town. That Liverpool game was a disgrace to be honest. The fact that it was played at 11 Sunday morning was bad enough but from memory we put out a side to try and lose not by too many, rather than have a go. Chances are we were always going to lose so why not go down fighting. Was it Bob Paisley that died not long before and we had a couple of minutes silence/songs for him before the game? Dont get me wrong, a tribute had to be done but it was as if we wanted to make it Liverpool's tribute to Paisley day and having a go at them would have almost been an insult. A massive, massive anti-climax

some random choices from memory Best (no particular order) :)4-1 v Hereford conf season, fantastic performance/game on the day we won the rugby world cup :)0-2 v Liverpool Bob Wardle testimonial, great to see the liverpool stars versus the town :)Beating aldershot at stoke, terrible journey there considering its 40 miles odd but the result was worth it! Worst (no particular order) >:(Losing to Telford in the conf season, thankfully they went bust soon after >:(wembley 2009, so much worse than 2007 somehow, gills fans were foul and had none of the class the bristolians had in 07. >:(wembley 1996, damn rotherham, jemson and the chuckle brothers! What about when Gary Bennett helped Shrews down to the Conference and the legendary funny walk celebration past the home fans? Michael Proctors' thunderbolt which signalled a mass exit from Gay Meadow - apart from the delerious packed away ends? What about the Lee Jones Worzal jaw dropper in the FA Cup which sent the 2500 visiting fans wild? and of course the best till last Lee Jones sends you down My favourite was when Gary Hooper sent you inbred ****ing c***s down at Edgar Street. Alex Hamilton = ****ing GOD!

A few more good 'uns.
Birmingham away to stay up.Stoke ditto,the FIRST Brown header which saved us from relegation! Blackburn away in the league cup(simply for the admiring comments from the Rovers fans who expected us to shut up shop).
Can't recall any bad ones.I'm sure there must have been some,but it's best to banish and suppress such memories!

Without making a very long list of highs and lows if i think about the ONE moment when i was the happiest and the lowest i come up with these two results
Best
Beating Everton in the Cup - Will anything ever match that result day, night out and all route amazing feeling when our goals went in? The last great game at the old ground, the place was rocking and will always remember that moment Jemo scored the whole Riverside went as mental as they ever had! I really miss it!
Worst Just shadeing (and only just) Staines last season has to be the 6-0 drubbing at Boston... fog all the way there, meant the trip too ages, and fog all the way back but thicker caused the trip home to be even longer. One of the single worst football performances I have ever seen from any team and a game we really were lucky not to lose by double figures... That was the most horrendus feeling i have ever had as a town fans (pretty sure it was the relegation to the conference season)
