All Turners bumbling around each year assembling a squad with 10 days to go may have got by in the Conference, and you got lucky with rent a mob last year but it wont work at league 1 level. I was stood next to one of Bullschats finest at a pre season game of yours when, with with just 14 days to go he fielded three players named "A. Trialist"...............It will be a long hard winter in Ciderspace

So why are you still in league 2 , i don't think you can answere that you have done diddy squat . How long before they start proper demonstrations to get Turner out?
Bunch of fickle carrot crunchers. Last season he was God for getting them up. Now their unsustainable ways are not paying off, they are not happy.
Shambolice.
Hereford United = Relegation Certainties

Went to wembley but... yes ..lost we went to brentford and... yes.. won and got promoted nothing for runners up i'm afraid. You have been in league 2 now i think 4 years ,we have been there 2 years and then promoted . you have stood still we have made you look a joke.. Yes you got promoted but we will get promoted with our OWN players, NOT from other clubs like you. We will actually own our players, not scrounge of other clubs. I don't really see how you can gloat with rubbish attendances, cr@p hole of a ground and 10 years in the conference. And now you try and gloat with [glow=red,2,300]0[/glow] points in League 1. It's like Derby fans trying to gloat while being in the premiership. Laughable!

Hereford shot to national prominence in 1972 when, as a Southern League team, they knocked top-flight Newcastle United out of the FA Cup.[1] In the same season they were elected to the football League, and reached the old Second Division by 1976. But after a rapid decline into the Fourth Division, where they spent nineteen seasons, they were eventually relegated on the final day of the 1996-97 season with serious financial troubles IanfullofBull, you bang on about us being in League 2 for 4 years. As you can see above, your tinpot outfit spent 19, ( yes-NINETEEN) years in that very same League!! .gif[/img].gif[/img] But then instead of moving up, oops, you dropped out of the football League!! ;D ;D And then it you 9 (yes- NINE) attempts to get back in the football League!! ;D How many attempts did it take the Shrews to get back into the football League........... ............Wait a moment, it's a bit hard this one.......... ............i can't quite remember..............can anyone help me out here...........oh yeah, it's coming back to me now................. FIRST TIME!! ;D ;D As for your so called support, or should that be lack of it!! 8-)Between 1972 and 1977, during the club's rise to the Second Division, home attendances averaged almost 8,000 per game. The support fell during the 1980s with the average home attendance under 3,000, the exception being the 1984-85 season when the club finished fifth. It was not until the latter Conference years that attendances improved, with the 2003-04 season seeing the average home attendance rise to 3,704. The following season saw the figure drop to just over 3,000 while in the 2005-06 season, despite the club successfully gaining promotion, the figure was 2,791. For the 2006-07 season the club had an average home league attendance of 3,327. With the exception of 2003-04, this is the highest average attendance since the 1984-85 season (3,881). The club has rarely enjoyed capacity crowds at Edgar Street in recent years, having last seen a five-figure home attendance in 1990. Since the reduction of the Edgar Street capacity in line with the Taylor Report the highest home attendance has been 8,953 in 1994 - a Coca Cola Cup Second Round match against Nottingham Forest. The highest league home attendance was 8,532, which was the relegation decider against Brighton & Hove Albion in 1997. Come back when you've got a club capable of sustaining itself, without having to rely largely on handouts from other clubs!! We have more talent in our reserves!!
A thread all about the past and your talented players that finished 33 points behind us,

Ian, before you go and crunch some more carrotts, just bear this in mind-
Yes we may have finished 33 points behind, but that was 33 points- WITH OUR OWN PLAYERS, WITH OUR OWN NEW STADIUM (that's a stadium, not a shed!), WITH A GOOD LOYAL FANBASE THAT SUPPORTS THE TEAM THROUGH GOOD TIMES AND BAD, but most importantly......
WITH A FUTURE!!

At the end of the 75/76 season the carrot crunchers were similarly gloating about their promotion to Div 2 (now the Championship) having been Div 3 champions and finishing 15 points above us in the days of 2 points for a win. Their stint in Div 2? One paltry season. The next season they plummeted through and out of Div 3. It was 27 years before we saw them again I can see history repeating itself here.

Hereford: - Small club. - Poor fan-base. - Probably own around 1/5th of squad - Own 'ground.' (Can you really merit it a league club football ground?) - Current Position - 24th - Bookies thoughts - Will be lucky to escape the drop. Shrewsbury Town - Large club by league two standards. - Growing fan-base. - Own all of squad (-1) - Fully own ground. - Current Position - 1st - Bookies thoughts - Favourites for promotion. Shrewsbury Town Football Club, quite simply the envy of Hereford United.

I agree you are a bit inferior, sorry i mean the team ...tarra enjoy accy away What are you going to do next season when we're playing in the league above? Then you'll have literally NOTHING to chuck in our direction - aside from some b******s like 'get a carpark'. Shrewsbury Town - soon to be superior to Hereford United in every way .

Keep smiling pal....

the delights of league 1 competition, try it one day You should try posting something of substance now and then mate. Your club has taken an absolute f**king battering in this thread and will continue to do so. What are you offering in return? Not much. Even that old timer Bullmac offers more sense and he doesn't even bother going to games!
