What a silly thing to say! (You may be saying.) Typical woman- can't analyse what's gone wrong - takes the emotional slant.
Well- no apologies, here. What's LOVE got to do with it? Quite a lot, I reckon. Maybe it explains why our lot- who have won againgst better teams- that Telford couldn't beat, always end up being HUMILIATED by Telford!
There's more love, from both team and manager, for the fewer fans that Telford has, than ever JQ and our team has for us.
Quite simply, they played their hearts out for their fans.
When you consider that one of their team (sorry I forget who) has had an offer to play for a league team, and turned it down to stay with Telford in their hour of need, you get the picture.
Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again- Mick Moans may seem to have a "workmanlike" approach- when he's interviewd after a disappointing game and he notes that, for example , their passing is bad- what does he say? "We're going to work on passing in training this week." Also- maybe, just maybe there's something about the way he motivates his players, that inspires loyalty.
We've all seen that Quinn is not a good motivator. He was just after a stepping stone to bigger things, I reckon. Does he LOVE shrewsbury Town like we do? I doubt it! Look at ahat's happened to Lukey- he's thoroughly demotivated. Once one of our top scorers- Super Lukey. What the **** has Quinn done to him?
Two minutes before f/t, I switched the radio off. I couldn't bear to listen any more.
I'm in Shropshire for two days- if any of you are thinking of handing in a petition/ demonsating or whatever- some of you know my mobile number - I'm up for it. Give me a ring and count me in!!
SOMETHING has got to be done- and the sooner the better.
I have a gut feeling it's not entirely the lads fault, really. They're thoroughly de-motivated. What's it like to work for a boss that messes you about and has no real commitment except his own long-term ambition? It's hardly likely to bring out the best in a team, is it?
