Some might know I like the occasional flutter, but this morning I have seen a bet that is IMO the best value bet I can remember.
William Hill are offering 9/2 that Chelsea have the highest goals scored by there players out of all premiership teams at the World Cup. So basically every goal a Chelsea player scores at the World Cup are added together to get the total goals for that team, and likewise every team in the Premiership.
Liverpool are 5/2 favourites mainly because of Torres.
Assuming Drogba is out injured, that still leaves;
Anelka Malouda J Cole A Cole F Lampard J Terry Obi Mikel Ivanovic Stoch Deco Ferreria Carvalaho
And the news might well be Drogba will be fit.
I have lumped on as much as they would let me, Im spending the day going to every Hills shop I can.
Of course its only my op-ion, but for the gamblers out there it will appeal and the best think about it you can do it EW 1,2,3!!!!

Crouch is still great value at 9-1 to be Englands top scorer.

That is a decent bet, to be fair. I won't be putting my house on it, but I might have a few quid. As for the worst bet of the World Cup, look no further than Paddy Power's "Zulu Bingo." Basically you bet on whether the commentators say any lines from the film "Zulu" during England games. www.paddypower.com/football/football-specials/world-cup-specials?ev_oc_grp_ids=304362Virtually all the options make no sense at all. Even Jim Beglin is not going to say something like "stuff me with green apples" (66/1) or " don't throw those bloody spears at me" (80/1) during a live England game!

I don't actually fancy that Chelsea bet at all, does Anelka even play for France? Lampard might get a couple, and Joe Cole maybe a couple aswell but I don't think there's many more goals from those Chelsea players
I'd much fancy Liverpool's chances as I can see Torres scoring a few, Gerrard maybe a couple and a few from Kuyt aswell

Just a thought, for the purposes of your bet does Robinho count as a Man City player?
Otherwise they'll have him, Tevez, Santa Cruz, SWP, Barry, De Jong, Toure, Zabaleta and Jerome Boateng as of 1st July

Here is my logic on the bet and how many goals they will score
Anelka and Malouda,France : Both will start tough group tho but will be looking for a return of 3 goals from the pair
Ashley and Joe Cole,Terry and Lampard, England: All will start and Im relying on Lampard and Joe Cole for the Goals, will be disappointed if they dont score 4 goals between them in the tournament, but could be anything up to 5/6.
Ivaoncvic,Serbia : Certain to play every minute and are my dark horses to reach the semis, scored 5 goals so far, hopefully net 1
Drogba and Kalou,Ivory Coast : Drogba may not play, but the pair have over 50 goals between them, if Drogba is fit will be looking for a return of 3 goals from the pair.
Any of the other players score will be a bonus, Admittedly the injuries to Drogba,Mikel and Ballack have damaged my chances, but Im still confident.
Im looking for my "Chelsea team" to score over 10 goals between them and bring home the bounty.

I'll be surprised and (not financially) delighted if England's Chelsea contingent manage 5/6 goals. How many did those players manage at the last World Cup - wasn't it just Joe Cole with one?
Interesting bet though and, City and Liverpool apart, is there much competition?

obviously there's rooney who could score quite a few for man u, but can't really see too many other goals coming from nani, vidic, or carrick
there's a lot of spurs players going, but crouch, defoe and lennon aside they're all defensive players (palacios, bassong, king, dawson, assou ekotto)
arsenal could be contenders with bendtner and van persie the main strikers in their nations, fabregas and then several defenders.

Don't really fancy your bet to be honest.
Javier Hernandez and Rooney should score plenty for Man Utd and as mentioned there are plenty of other more potent threats at Liverpool and Arsenal.
You may get out of jail at 1/5 odds a place but good luck with it.
Out of interest, what price do you make Chelsea?

Can't see the Chelski bet being that good.Just because they have a lot of their players in there doesn't mean the sides they represent are any good anyway.

Is Hernandez officially a United player now, or is it from 1 July? If so he and Rooney could be a decent punt, with Vidic, Park & Carrick other possible scorers.
A World Cup with loads of Spurs defensive players? Has the world gone mad?

The WH rules say players clubs are as per 11th June, so good point re: Hernandez, I'm not sure when he officially becomes a Utd player. He's signed and a transfer fee has been agreed as have work permits, just not sure when he officially becomes their player. Either way he's one for the future and have been watching him with interest for a while, couldn't resist having a few quid on him to be top scorer at 200/1 on betfair

Although Joe Cole will apparently be a Chelsea player until the end of the month, so he still counts I guess.

Just checked with Hills, "All players that are regeristed with a particular club at the time the bet is struck or up until 11th June will be classed as playing for that club"
Im almost being persuaded to have a saving bet on Man City, because to be honest I have gone mad on this bet and waaaaaay over staked

As an alternative gamble, you could buy some BP stock or BP bonds. Obama's verbal attacks have driven down the prices well below what analysts believe is their true value.

Hills told me I couldn't have Chelsea each way Shambles, they probably thought you ment which club will provide the most goals, this market includes the likes of Barcelona and is not an EW market for some reason, Ask for the "which premiership team will score most goals" market they are offering ew 1/5 1,2,3

Anelka and Malouda home,

My reckoning so far,
