Good news and credit to the club and Greenhous for taking fans views on board.
Risky one for Greenhous though - a lot of people had started (eventually) to call it the Prostar.....but now it's more likely that people will revert to calling it the Meadow, without the Greenhous in front of it, which is probably not how Greenhous wants it to pan out.

Good excuse for someone who wants to pop to the match without his wife's "consent", just popping to the greenhouse for a couple of hours.

It is a shame that the memories of the old Gay Meadow have not been laid to rest.
The Greenhous Meadow is just an illigitimate child of the true meaning. The two places are totally different and deserved completely different identities.

The two places are totally different and deserved completely different identities. Oh dear! I hope this is a minority view. The response of the club and Greenhous to integrate the fans in a democratic vote on something as important as this naming of the stadium should be celebrated in my opinion as a community worker. The fans have decided. Both the club and Greenhous have stated that they are committed to engaging the fans in a variety of issues and events in the future. Not everything can be decided in this way but, despite the constant negativity of some "celebrated" posters on this board, the majority seem to appreciate the increasing realisation of those in charge that we take the fans with us wherever possible. Watch out for your opportunity to contribute to Heritage, Concourse and Legends projects that will form part of the club's 125th year celebrations. Floreat Salopia!

I do not denegrate Greenhous for bowing to popular demand and including Meadow in the options. The names, though, simply do not fit-a sponsor's moniker and an old name. It could equally have been called the Gay Greenhous (in fact that sounds better because it is alliterative) Too many people have voted as a knee jerk reaction to sentiment without giving it true thought.
I did not vote because I was not happy with the choices offered but I respect the democratic majority as always.

Would have preferred Stadium to be honest but can understand why Meadow was the popular choice

Club is in a no win situation on things like this.

I think it is excellent news. I continued to refer to the ground as the New Meadow when it was given the crap Prostar name so now I can carry on calling it the Meadow without Witters moaning every time I tweet on Facebook that I'm on my way to the Meadow..

Does this sound better ? The Meadow sponsored by Greenhous rather than Greenhous Meadow . Yes it does but it still makes us sound like the yokels we are Sorry but I have given it a few days to see if it wins me around but its a definate no for me . I can see the posts on here soon and hear the media referring to the donkies playing at Greenhous meadow etc etc. Realise its the fans choice but IMO it was an opportunity to bury the past and move on.

Would have preferred Stadium to be honest but can understand why Meadow was the popular choice Think Stadium gets over used by clubs and the club would lose its identity completely if it was adopted. Considering that the old ground was always reffered to as the Medder or Meadow its only natural that the name should be included. Many would call it the Meadow anyway. Not sure 'New Meadow' is that good an idea though, its only going to get older. I think the ground should have some sort of perminant name, while I am not exactly overjoyed by a sponsor being included in the name if it brings in more income I can overlook it. However if its just called that the ground is going to change names every five or six years or so I would guess. In 50/100 years time what would they call it then? We needed to move and the facilities are much better than before but thats no reason why we should ignore the clubs history entirely.
