I know one or two people on here are interested in History stuff. I've been looking up info about my father's family. Name- Gregory. They lived in the Oswestry/Gobowen area - also in Wales- Lllangollen, Corwen area. I found a Shropshire Family History site- but drew a blank apart from someone who mentioned a Gregory at Crudgington. (My grandfather was Station Master at Crudgington for a while.) There was also a list of Shropshire burials- but I couldn't find my father's family's names, because they were buried at a place called Hengoed, near Selattyn, close to the Welsh border. The graveyard is still there but the Church was demolished. I can't even remember what it was called! Do any of you know any more good sites? I can't even find the origin of the name- I don't think Gregory is Shropshire originally- yet my late father told me that previous generations of his family were farmers on the borders. My married name is Welsh, of course!!!!
