i've always thought that this is an area that the Town fall down on quite badly. If it's done properly it really can have long term effects of getting youngsters to associate with a club and foster long term support. What tends to happen down the Meadow is that it's left to a few locally based players to carry the burden. Since Pete the Feet left there as definately been a dirge in good PR. Is anything written into players contracts about participation in community schemes ?

Yeh it seems a great idea, but would any of our team draw a crowd? That isnt being sarcky by the way. They should be going around the schools, in their footy kits and playing a few games with the kids, couple at a time, one day a week and giving out the free tickets whilst they are there. Good thing is they might actually learn something, the kids might find it usefull to

I dont get why its not happening already, I mean all the kids would be excited by it surely
Its not as if the players are training all day, so an hour every now and again wouldnt be too much to ask would it?

i've mentioned this a few times in the past kids love having a kick about pro footballers and then they go home and pester their dad to drag them down the meadow (i think)
