(To John Lennon's Imagine, of course!)
Imagine beating Chester! It's easy if you try! All you need is Darby * And you can reach the sky. Imagine all the Shrews fans, Going wild with joy! Oh-ooh-oh-oh-oh! You can call me a dreamer- But I'm not the only one! Just gotta go out and grind them down- Till all their pride is gone.
Imagine beating Telford! It isn't hard to do! Don't show them any Mercy- It's either them or you! Imagine all the Shrews fans- Shouting out for Joy- oh-ooh-oh-oh-oh, You can call me a dreamer- But I'm not the only one! Just gotta go out and grind them down- Till all their pride is gone.
Imagine winning playoffs! It's easy if you're tough- You've got to to put on pressure- You've got to make it rough! You've got to keep believing- Like we believe in you!! Oh-ooh-oh-oh-oh. You can call me a dreamer! But I'm not the only one! Just gotta go out and grind them down- Till all their pride is gone.
*you can substitute any player's name if he's doing good!
I just thought the lads need a rallying call to keep, tough, keep focused and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
(I'm sure you guys can think of plenty more ideas.)

Tee Hee! Thanks for the kind words! I DID want to be a writer/poet/songwriter at one time - but I'll never forget a teacher of mine saying," I wanted to be a writer, too when I was young- but it's no use being a dreamer, you've got to earn your bread-and-butter!" I am glad I did teaching instead, really- I've been able to lead by example and let kids see you can have fun and do stuff like that- and even if it doesn't make you a living- it makes life more interesting! I've still got a cracking song an 11year old boy called Paul wrote, after I taught him to play guitar and said I wrote songs. Gave him an example- and he wrote one ten times better!!!

Wiggy, just a note to say that your ex-teacher was a pillock! If you have the will and the time and the belief then you can do anything you want to and if you do not suceed then at least you have the satisfaction of knowing you tried when 99.9% of the world have not even had a go! I will give you an example,in my home town (Whitchurch unsurprisingly) we have a very nice lady who i used to deliver the post to by the name of Kate Long. She used to be a teacher too but one day she said to her hubby about giving her hobby of writing a go.She is no.1 at the moment with the bad mothers guide.Wiggy -go for it girl!
